ParticipantThere is a modification to bypass a faulty foamed-in sensor – But you have to know which wires to short out to ensure correct operation after the Mod.
I think whatever you’ve done to the wiring is incorrect…..where did you get the info from to do what you did ?
use the search facility on this forum and search for your model number and you’ll find lots of info.
This thread could be relevant http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … hlight=kgv

ParticipantDoes the ready light come on once they try to start it or during a wash ?
If it has trouble starting , it may be an interlock problem ?
Ready light as a ‘fault’ code is door open detected .

ParticipantIt can be done from the front without having to take anything apart….or bend anything lol but that just comes with experience and working on them enough times.
But i do remember really struggling with the first one i had……and it was me that had taken the door off in the first place 😳 ….Red face’s all round after that fiasco !!!
Well done on getting it sorted though 😀

ParticipantCan you post up the FD number Andy. Most of these have had the mods done already . There are a couple of other things to check .
Is the evaporator frozen or are they getting ice in the base of the freezer compartment and on the RHS ? I have had a few where the white insulating part that the deforst heater sits in has split adjacent to the drain hole area , allowing deforst water to run into the freezer compartment rather than the drain hole. Always worth checking the defrost heater too.
The mod consists of a new module and a metal ‘blanket’ that sits above the evaporator . Does this one have this fitted yet ?

ParticipantCan’t comment on the wiring as i have no idea what you’ve done and forum rules dictate on how much detailed info we can give.
The flickering interior light is probably just the winter switch operated. Its the little red switch on the side of the lamp housing – Switch it so the red part is not showing and then try it.

ParticipantProbably just come adrift. They can be a bugger to fit back though. On removal , you have to twist the locking nuts 1/4 turn to ‘lock’ the sliding bracket into position before lifting the door up and off its runners….with the opposite being true obviously when refitting.
The runner for the slide has prob popped out of the guide on the side. It is logical how it fits if you get a look at it……Ask the customer for his instruction book as that has the procedure for normal removal in it and it may help. Its difficult to explain in words but hopefully you can work it out if you see it.
Thats not much help i know…but good luck !!

ParticipantRocker , ER15 is – ‘cooker too hot . If the temp reaches above 380*C , heating elements switch off and the oven is locked. The oven will not unlock unless temp drops below 300*C again’
This has happened because of the self clean i would guess. It may just be a ‘blip’ but It looks like you may have to enter the test programme to reset.
Switch 3 times between Rotisserie and Pyrolysis….this is prob better done by youself than the customer though.

ParticipantThe out of balance system on these are practically infalliable as they’re part of the motor. What probs are you having ? No or intermittent spinning probs ?
Is it the same model as the OP ? If it is , first port of call would be the moto brushes……especially if it has started to sound a bit ‘Sparky’scrapy’ on the higher speed spins.

ParticipantHave you cleaned the condensor box ? Its the metal box in the bottom left hand corner at the front of the machine ?

ParticipantGet the customer to switch the appliance off from the supply for 30 secs and then switch back on. That is sometimes enough to get the appliance running again.

ParticipantHow long between the fill and beeps ? If its 4 -5 mins , i’d be checking the valves . If it fills for approx 4-5 secs and then doesn’t do any more , sounds like the main wash valve is dodgy.
nomadPaul
ParticipantIt should be the button underneath the spin speed LED’s….or you have an incorrect ENr ?
nomadPaul
Participant….or if that doesn’t work , you could maybe swap the doors over to open the opposite way , thus placing the hinges on the door side with good holes .

ParticipantHate to point it out to you Jack , but there is an odd Bosch with a sealed tub now !!!
There are a few WAA style machines that have the dreaded sealed tub…around £85 + VAt for a new complete tub assy i believe
