ParticipantThe appliance is not heating….hence the extended wash times and the wax seal on the cleaner not melting.
3 possible options –
Low water levels due to blocked pressure chamber/hose
Open circuit heater element
Dry/blown joint on main control PCB
Have a search on the forum for Bosch+1+minute and there’s plenty of info here to point you in the right direction

ParticipantTBH , if you’ve got power to the main board and the displays not lit up , its prob the board thats gone .
The error code was probably F11

ParticipantDoes it fill drain fill drain constantly on start up and the ‘check water’ led illuminates? If so , it’ll be the impellor jug ( flow rate meter ) – Part no: 424099 – connected inline between water matrix and inlet hose .

ParticipantHmmmm…..i’d be looking at either the heater or motor maybe going to Earth . You may in fact have more than a single fault . Poss open circuit heater and worn brushes . They are the 2 i’d look at first !

Jim , you need to host the pictures on a site i.e Photobucket or imageshack then copy the URL and insert it in between
i.e http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p232 … chsoff.jpg is the link and when inserted between the brackets it turns into….

ParticipantYour appliance won’t spin with water in it….and from description , i’d say you have a draining problem.
If you put it on a drain/empty cycle , do you still get the ‘motor’ noise ? If you do , then the first thing i would be checking is the drain hose connection. Does it connect under your sink ? Thats the first port of call !

ParticipantYou are correct with the manafacturing date so its nearly 16 yrs old . I can only give you BSH part numbers .
The original part number from Bosch for the motor module is 094555 and is approx £130+ VAT
door seal 295609 – approx £32+ VAT
The motor doesn’t have changeable brushes as such but an end ‘cap’ 496872 approx £53+ VAT

ParticipantOllie , as Martin says , when these appliances have had ‘no heat’ probs it can throw the timings out. IIRC , these models use the length of the last wash as their starting point for the next cycle hence you may get 199 mins on the first cycle you try. The times can jump and down quite dramatically so I’d follow his advice and get the customer to run the hottest cycle all the way through ( maybe noting how long it takes ? Should be around 2/2.5 hrs ) and hopefully the times will right themselves.

ParticipantTBH Bill , there are no hard and fast rules concerning the installation of these machines. I can tell you horror stories of a customer having to have a £4000 italian slate floor lifted to allow the dishwasher to be removed. Blocks of wood under the feet are quite common and for us engineers that are removing and replacing intergrated appliances every day it doesn’t make much difference. Obviously the length of the adjustable feet/legs can’t be infinite and as the depths between the floor and work surfaces above can vary greatly , its common for the machine to be on a plinth of some sort. A lot of kitchen fitters will use a square piece of ‘work surface’ wood , the size of the base , to hoist the machine up .
The metal plate that fits above the door edge ? On the machines i visit , I’d say its about 50/50 as to whether its fitted or not. I’d guess its more for the worktop protection than anything important to do with the dishwasher itself.
As for the two reset buttons….you didn’t actually reset it as per normal…..what you did was enter the test programme or re-config programme….so be thankful you didn’t press any other buttons before switching it off !!! There is a possibility that it was stuck ‘electronically’ so well done on clearing that.

ParticipantIn that case , you may need to check the pressure chamber/flood protection system on the LHS. Unfortunately , this means the machine has to come out as the LHS panel needs to be removed for access. There is a small float in a pressure chaber that may be stuck in the up positiion.
