ParticipantIts 99.9{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} probable that the flow rate meter has failed . This is a component that measures the amount of water flowing into the machine telling the control board how long to fill for. When this fails , you get a constant fill/drain cycle going on.
The flow rate meter ( Impellor jug ) is white circular object between the end of the inlet hose and the water matrix on the LHS . Yu will need to remove the LHS panel to access and the part you require is 424099 from BSH home appliances .

ParticipantThat screw is to adjust the rear foot so ignore that. Basically , you need to remove the decor door , outer door and then the metal base plate . This will open up the base area , giving you access to be able to drain/soak the water out.
Unfortunately , if you want to really check out the machine , you will need to remove the dishwasher from the cupboard carcass .
We can’t give detailed actions but thats the basis of what you need to do.

ParticipantIt’s a bit difficult to explain but IIRC there is an overflow pipe connected between the side chamber on the LHS and the aquastop that is an overflow protection device. If water gets into this hose , it shuts the aquastop down.
The way to check is to disconnect this small hose temporarily and see if the appliance fires up. Its normally a small clear hose at the very front lower edge of the side chamber.
This fault normally occurs when the main fill hose ( larger black hose ) between the side chamber and sump gets blocked and the chamber overfills as the water can’t flow quick enough into the sump.
Hope i’ve explained it so you understand where i’m pointing you towards 🙂

ParticipantIt soundter in the base of the appliance s like you have water in the base operating the flood protection system. Does it still seem to be pumping with the door open ?
If it does , you will need to access the base , remove the water and try and find out where the water’s coming from.

ParticipantI refer you back to a post from earlier in the week .

Probably the same problem

Participanti know this may sound silly but have you reset the clock ? If its still flashing 00:00 , then the main oven won’t operate till its been set .

ParticipantThere is a theory that the mixture of high speed spins and the the design of modern day machines causes a vaccum to occur between the inner and outer drums and this ‘pulls’ material through the small holes in the drum causing the small pinhead type holes .
The items i’ve seen with these kind of holes are always thin , delicate types of clothes….mainly summer wear. This is why its very important to follow the wash label instructions on clothing to ensure the correct wash cycle is selected. If in doubt , maybe drop the spin speed down by a couple of 100 rpm for the cycle selected .

ParticipantThe ‘anti-crease’ led flashing indicates a possible prob with the rear NTC which could be a no heating fault maybe ?
Unless it’s the ‘end’ part of the led in which case i’d be looking to clean the sensor paddles in the drum and making sure there is a good big load in the drum as these machine sdon’t like small loads or items .

ParticipantAre any of the led’s flashing when it stops ?
i.e drying , iron dry or anti-crease/end ?

ParticipantOn these models , it’s probably the LHS PC board starting to fail. This board has the mains power coming in to it. I’ve changed a few . Its worth making sure of the installation when you visit as they need plenty of ventilation down the front where the fan vents are.
Part no: 666080 approx £130+VAT from BSHnomadPaul
ParticipantI’d be checking the heating element…it may be timing out waiting for the water to heat up.
nomadPaul
ParticipantThere’s 3 models – These are the numbers from BSH
i think it’s :
before serial no: 3N0173B00001 – 831083
from serial no: 3N0173B00001- 831083
series 3 – 830700
Actually , after checking a bit further , it seems 830700 supercedes the other 2 so i’d say its definitely 830700 for main oven statnomadPaul
ParticipantFor the impellor jug….
LHS panel off – remove the inlet hose from the water matrix – at the base rear the cover for the water inlet hose is clipped in….pop the clip and gently pull the inlet hose out being careful to remember that there is an electrical connection to the impellor jug and the valve . Once it’s out , the biggest prob is getting the hoses off as they’re pretty tight.
NOTE THAT THE IMPELLOR JUG HAS A RIGHT AND A WRONG DIRECTION TO BE FITTED .As for the ribbed fill hose – LHS , RHS and door outer panel off . Lower plastic bace facia off – metal base facia panel off and all will be revealed .

ParticipantThere’s a possibiliy , maybe , that it has probably been caused by steam escaping from the top right corner of the appliance……i’m saying no more !!! 😉
But there are a set of connectors available that are designed to be spliced in rather than replacing the whole loom….plus she may find that the engineer also fits a new door latch and maybe a set of new top rails and he may remove the top white seal….ok , thats my definite final word on the matter ! lol
