ParticipantThat model number may not be quite correct but normally its part no: 424099 impellor jug ( flow rate meter as mentioned ) – fits inline with the inlet hose at rear left corner – make sure its fitted the right way round !!!
nomadPaul
ParticipantI’d say its the same as this one Dave

ParticipantCorrect – F16 is related to the appliance not seeing the door closed/locked .

ParticipantCupboard dry led flashing is an overheat fault . Check airways and filter first off.

ParticipantYou need to stick a big flat bladed screw driver in the back of the motor to jam the fins then twist that centre impellor off….its seperate to the white housing . Behind here is where you’ll prob find the motor all corroded and leaking .

ParticipantI take it that you’ve checked the sump hose and pressure chamber underneath the tub for foreign objects and blockages ?
nomadPaul
ParticipantThe hose at the very bottom of the door seal is just a drain hole into the drum , it isn’t the pressure hose . The pressure hose goes into a seperate hole/seal in the front drum plate , behind the weight , if i remember correctly .

ParticipantNo need to lift the tub completely. just take out the 4 screws that hold the tub to the base , release door spring clips on hinge hooks and then pop out springs from lower rear and lift tub up enough to lift RHS hinge bracket up to rest on base. This gives enough room to get motor out. Once the tub is raised , i would wedge something – i.e block of wood – between front of tub and base just in case tub drops .
There is a small ‘clip’ on the motor RHS that has to be depressed and the motor then twists clockwise to remove. You might want to unhook the rubber bunjee’s on the motor before lifting tub.

ParticipantTh way the evaporator sits means that if it ices over , it practically glues itself to the lower cover and is a bugger to remove. If its given a real good defrosting then the cover will slide forward quite nicely. Just remember that there is a defrost heater on the cover and the connector will need to be unplugged from the rear wall connector prior to pulling the cover completely away .
If this is an older model , Pre-mid 2007 , then it may need the evaporator cover plate fitting and a new module . These were the 2 main components that needed replacing for the main modification that these applainces had early doors.

ParticipantThere is a small ‘connection’ bottle but i’ve never had any probs with it. Had 1 or 2 pumps intermittently fail but thats about it on the draining side .
nomadPaul
ParticipantF:18 on that model is definitely a drain problem. Maybe check the drain and hoses for a coin possibly swivelling and intermittently causing slow/no drain ? Also , and i’m not teaching you to suck eggs , don’t forget the sink connection if there is one.
nomadPaul
ParticipantWould need the full Enr Richard to be sure but if its a fairly new machine F18 is a draining problem.

ParticipantRemember that the £189 covers the intial call and then provides a years repair cover .

ParticipantYou might get away with a set of new brushes for the motor. Its the most common problem with motors but you will need to remove the motor and then the brushes to check. They will have worn down to a mere stub and then you have to hope that they havn’t damaged the motor commutator.

Of course, it makes sense that that’s what that microswitch is for.
I think I’ll keep my head down and learn a bit more before jumping in feet first in future!!
As I said, I’m still learning … 😳Mate , this is one of the best place’s to learn. You can’t beat advice from experienced engineers. I’m a mere learner compared to most on here and my general knowledge of appliances has increased remarkadly since joining…..even though i don’t work on 90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the stuff mentioned 😀
