ParticipantCommon problem and loads of posts on it. Faulty flow sensor ( impellor jug ) Part no 424099. Its fitted at the rear left and is a white cyclindrical object inline with the inlet hose just before it enters the water matrix.

ParticipantJust a little info Pigpen. The microswitch on the IWH has nothing to do with water levels. It’s a safety pressure switch to ensure the heater doesn’t operate with insuffecient water levels. the water level on these machines is controlled by the pressure chamber on the left hand side .
Bo’ , i’d definitely be looking at the LHS pressure chamber again , maybe the microswitch at the top of the chamber itself. If this is stuck in a closed circuit position , it’ll think its already full of water. It’s only the signal from this switch that will supply the board with a signal concerning the level. If the pressure chamber is 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} working , then you may be looking at a board fault.

ParticipantJust as a little aside , do you need a full size dishwasher ? Don might be able to advise on the model number but Neff are releasing a smaller built-in dishwasher that is approx the same size as a single oven and may be able to be fitted lower down allowing easier access ?

ParticipantAre there are LED’s lit or any numbers in the display ?

ParticipantI’d be checking the control module for signs of burnt out components , blown triacs or connector plgs overheated .
nomadPaul
ParticipantIIRC , it always seems to be the black neutral that ‘burns’ out . I do the same as superfix , remaking the burnt out cable with a new connector ensuring that its a nice tight fit when re-fitted. I can’t recall going back for one either.

ParticipantThe first thing i would always advise a customer to do is a full defrost . Empty the fridge freezer , switch off at the wall and leave the doors ajar for approx 48 hrs and then switch back on. It could be something as simple as ice build up on the evaporator section in the freezer after a door being left open for a few hours.

Down to Stevie Gerrard now to lead the team out, nominations for vice skipper anyone?
Don
Lampard or Rooney would be my choice…..although if i was in charge i’d give the skipper’s armband back to Terry…but then i am a bit biased !!!
And before anyone ask’s , i don’t condone his off-field shenanigans but in my eyes , he is by far the best leader on the pitch .nomadPaul

SpannerRash wrote:Thanks for that link. I found an exploded diagram on there, and I suspect that’s how my dishwasher is going to end up looking. 😳
But if anybody can tell me where to start… (after unplugging it!) Attack it from the inside, or turn it upside down and try to remove the base?
I will warn you now….DO NOT TURN THE MACHINE UPSIDE DOWN !!! yOU COULD END UP SOAKING ALL THE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS !!!
The best thing to do is unplug it , tilt it to remove the water from the base as you have been doing and then watch the appliance fill and start to wash with the side panels off. You may see where the waters coming from .
PLEASE DO NOT POKE AROUND WHILE IT’S RUNNING THOUGH .

ParticipantThere is no 8 error on this Machine as far as i can see. might need to check the display just to make sure

That is an accident waiting to happen.
Handy for my style of cooking though ….all the burnt pots and pans will drop straight into the DW section 😆

ParticipantThere is a distinct possibility that the worn brushes have damamged the motor itself. How worn were they and was there any major arcing/scraping noises prior to you replacing the brushes ?
Also , did you use genuine Bosch brushes or pattern parts ? Sometimes the new brushes will need ‘bedding’ in if the angled face on them isn’t sitting totally square to the commutator……and this is presuming the brushes have been put in the correct way !
nomadPaul
ParticipantIf it then re-occurs , check out the brushes in the motor because thats what F:21 is related too.

ParticipantE01 is ‘pump triggering or pump switching’ is defective and would appear to be power module fault. The power module is situated at the back right corner and just clips in if it needs to be removed – remembering of course that the mains supply cable must be removed as it plugs directlu into the board !!!
They actually ‘open up’ like a clam shell Martin…..although i’ve yet had to actually go that far in the field !!! There are a couple of metal clips by the corners of the base that you bend out and the front of the machine kinda tilts backwards . You have to be wary of the hoses and a couple might have to be released but its not as half as complicated as its predecessor
