ParticipantJohn , as highlighted by a couple of others , although the selector switch may look fine , it could still be faulty . I’ve had a couple , not neccassarily on this particular model , that have shown no outward signs of damage/charring but have proven faulty.

Yes, it was accesible from inside the oven. It had two connections which were replaced on the same terminals on the new element and I’m pretty sure they were secure when inserted back through the oven back plate.
Do you mean there were two cables , one for each terminal on the rear of the element ?
If i remember correctly , there’s more than 2 cables . One`may have come off as you drew the element forward .If thats not the case then , as Simon says , it may be time for an engineer .

Participantkeep an eye on the bowden cable and the wiring loom on the RHS when you replace the front panel.
nomadPaul
ParticipantDid you replace the rear element from inside the oven cavity ? These elements sometimes have more than one connection on the element connections and these can get pulled off when removing the old element . Power off if you need to investigate further

ParticipantDoes the lamp flicker with the door open or is it when you cheat/close the door ? Is there a little switch on the side of the lamp housing ? If there is , is it showing a red segment ? If present , this may be a winter switch which will keep the lamp on at roughly 30{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} with the door closed – Try switching this switch off if its present .

ParticipantSimple solution really . Hold the filter cover and turn the machine round the other way….sorted 😆

ParticipantIf the water is draining ok and you’ve got no drum action at all then i’d suggest it’s the carbon brushes in the motor . Normally happens after 3-5 years use.
Is the model number actually WFO 2860 maybe ?
The only thing to be aware of is that there is two kinds of motor fitted to these machines each with a different set of brushes !!!Power off if investigating 😯

ParticipantIt does sound like a waterpoint valve failure . Have you got the full model number Mac ?

FYI, the parts fitted were a Plate (Item number 479167), a clip (610504) and an Operating Module (644127).
Assume the operating module contains new firmware to control defrost time etc?
😀Correct . The plate does as stated above and the clip keeps the defrost heater nice and secure 😉

ParticipantWhen the door is opened , into the horizantal , does it go past the 90* point . i.e does it actually slope downwards when fully opened –
If it does , then its probably the actual inner door itself thats bent and distorted . Check the two screw heads on the lower side , inner edge of the inner door panel . These screw into the hinges . Do these area’s of the inner door panel look bent ? This is where they normally deform if someone falls/steps onto the open door.
This would be my best guess without actually seeing the door physically
nomadPaul
ParticipantJust for Info Tubafan , the extra metal part is actually a deflector plate , fitted above the evaporator that is used to make the defrost heater work more effeciently by stopping the heat from it from dissapating too much 8)

Thanks again 😀

ParticipantRe: Bosch dishwasher SGS09L08 not draining
Is the drain hose connected to a sink drainage system or a stand-pipe ? If its connected to the sink , does the drain hose loop upwards prior to the connection ? It could be siphoning back in from the drain end so its important to have an ‘air gap’ , created by a raised loop to prevent this.

ParticipantTony , i think you’re getting a bit confused with your ovens operation . I’m not aware of any Neff oven that will let you set a ‘later date’ time . Are you sure you’re not setting the alarm/timer function which counts down to shut the oven off ?
nomadPaul
ParticipantAre you using the reccommended amount of detergent in the wash ? Underdosing with detergent can cause a grey scummy residue to be left on the clothes .
The service wash is worth doing once a month as well . -
