    Re: F&P GW709au over filling

That fault is change of water level not detected in time allowed. Standard fault is the tube being trapped, kinked or holed. It should not have any water in it at any time.

Other possibilities are the level sensor itself or the motor controller board, but these are unlikely in view of there being water in the tube.

Fully drain the machine, remove tube at top end and blow clear, refit and test.

    Power off, of course……

Re: Humming Pump on Electra AWM 900B

Does this machine empty into a “stand pipe”, or is it coupled to a spigot under the sink? If the latter, these are so and soes for choking up and restricting the water flow. The pump motor then cooks itself……..

So. “Lucky” isn’t your middle name then…..? Computer board is p/no C00093628 – £80 odd from memory, plus the Vat etc… Plus – why has it blown? – If you wish to keep the machine going, I would certainly replace the door lock at the same time.

Email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk quoting part number for confirmed prices and ordering.

    Re: INDESIT W161UK NO HEATING

Heater is operated by a relay on the computer board. These fail regularly. Dry solder joints on the board are a regular fault. Also, regular problems with wiring in the heater/thermistor area – the wiring breaks inside the insulation, so nothing to see – continuity testing required, also pulling at the connectors at the same time.

131 is specifically a motor position sensor failure. It can be just wiring, or motor controller board. Sensor is p/no 425221P and is probably the place to start.

What’s special about it Paul? Sure I did one of these a couple of weeks back and a standard small/small end drain hose went on with no problems?

There’s a retaining band in the lip of the seal that needs to come off first………
