Re: Whirlpool dishwasher tripping fuse box

Could be anything, unforunately. My suspicion would be that the tray under the machine is full of water and various components will be sitting in it. Clicking noises are usually associated with the pcb relays, so possible that there is a corruption issue going on.

You’ll have to get in there and find out….

Power off if you intend to tackle this yourself.

Rapid programme runs against time – the others run against temperature, therefore you have some sort of heat problem.

Element, sensors, safety cut-out, wiring and burnt out joints on the pcb are all possible faults.

Power off if you intend to investigate this yourself.

Think Hoover, Jim. It’s even got the motorised selector switch – always a good bet for illogical faults.

Like for like by colour, ie white to white – polarity is unimportant.

Does it heat on the Rapid programme?

Does it actually drain? There should be half an inch of water left in the sump if it is draining correctly.

Drain pump is accessible from the front by removing the lower front cover plate. The pump motor is a twist fit.

    Power off first.

Yup, motor generating electrical noise affecting the pcb.

Seen that one on the metal tanks – haven’t seen it on a plastic one.

There is a matrix on the r/h side of the machine, with the water level switches attached to it. The hoses connecting the matrix to the sump bowl of the machine can (and do) clog up, causing the pcb to receive false readings. The matrix itself can get gunged up as well.

Power off if you’re going to have a look at this yourself.

Fan oven failure most likely cause – article HERE.

For a local engineer, click the repairs@ link on the task bar on the left and follow the instructions.

    Find your model number first.

Sounds like you have the answer……… 😀

Cooling fan doesn’t start until the oven warms and runs on afterwards. And it’s at the top.

They get clagged up with grease – occasionally you can get away with a strip down, clean and lubrication job. If not, the cooling fan is p/no 3370000-41/0 – spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk will get you one promptly.

Stay safe – power off if you’re going to do this yourself.

Re: NEFF U1461 – Circotherm Fan not working

1/ Fan oven element failure is common, fan motors fail occasionally. Thermostats are pretty reliable.
2/ Drill the heads off – once the panel is out of the way you can grab the stumps with a mole grip.
3/ Manufacturers service may not wish to take it on – if they do, it’ll be a whopping bill for the time involved in getting the inner cover panel off.

Power off if you’re going to have a look yourself.

Drainage not detected in the time allowed. Partial blockage also check sink spigot if appropriate.
