ParticipantRe: the replacement sealed tubs for zan12070s
Would have said the seal is more important. During the 90s Servis used a blank seal and bearing failure was rare, then they changed to Polibenz and the failure rate went through the roof, some not even seeing three months. Their excuse was the original maker couldn’t meet demand but they kept them on the washer dryer and were as good as gold. The devil in me thought it could be due to money laundering as they were an Italian company but it is only hearsay 😳

Getting about £5.50 per machine here but take the motors out first.

Steve,
If you want an old dishwasher I’ve got a Hotpoint you can have. DWF20 I think, yes an Indy.

Isn’t there enough red tape already?

ParticipantRe: Servis M9303 Washerdrier outer tub seal
The seal goes onto the backplate. There is a cutout (if you have the right part) that locates at the top of the backplate. It will be obvious if you get that bit right.

ParticipantRe: Zanussi’s policy on early drum failures?
I had this with a Whirlpool a few months back. Bearings gone in 14 months or so. They agreed to a free repair and said they provide a 2 year guarantee(never heard that before) so maybe these companies are getting the jitters but only if you press them. Doubt they will improve the quality soon though.

I put his trading name in google and some sites have customer reviews for his entry.
I’ve got it on many of mine too (but no one has put one on yet 😳 )

If no one can help I would say that your parts supplier says there are two versions of this appliance and you need to check the parts visually to ensure the correct part. If he is obstructive say it’s the only way he will get a faster repair as one version is mostly out of stock.
Not that I have ever done this 😳
Best of luck

ParticipantRe: beware all providers for currys/dsgi
Sounds familiar.
They did this to Nat Homecare in 1989. Sold Mastercare (inc MFI work) to them, lots of useless parts then restarted Mastercare.
Wouldn’t even buy a plug from DSG.

Or get a clamp meter (Maplins) and you get a meter and a clamp. I’ve used one for14 years and couldn’t do without it.

ParticipantRe: Service User Manual
I’ll have a look in my loft, some old SUK manuals there but can’t promise.

ParticipantRe: Service User Manual
M301W (B) (Easiwash) was one of the first Servis Merloni to be brought into the country…1991 to around 1997 so getting a manual is going to be difficult. Serial number will help with date of production.
What do you need to know as it’s a straight forward machine, very well made and reliable as it’s age proves.
Rob.
It’s so old it isn’t on the Merloni site but I have a parts list and diagram if you need it -
