    Re: Samsung wm

Could be one of those stretchy belt gone a bit loose as any jerky rotation on the distribute would stop it spinning with a load. Servis suffered greatly with this problem. Check the tension.

Either out of balance load or it thinks it hasn’t emptied. Needs to be tried empty to verify but most likely OOB

    Re: hotpoint wma52 motor

    Thanks Jim, much obliged,
It’s the field coil that is o/c. Customer tried to fit his own brushes and blew it up, he said there was a big flash and he was left in darkness. Should have rung me in the first place.
Thanks again to all who replied.

    Yep,
    Just noted the heading 😳
All I need to know is will this motor work, is it worth a shot?
And now I know what a hybrid timer and the difference in analogue and digital.
    Thanks

    Re: hotpoint wma52 motor

Thanks but I’m a bit confused now.
What’s a hybrid timer? This one has a combined timer module.
This is a WM52 not WMA.
The motor taken off is a 6 pin,4+2 and a small tacho.
The motor he wants me to fit is a 7 pin with black brushes and a small bolt through the tacho.
    Thanks

    Re: hotpoint wma52 motor

    Hi,
    hijacking this old thread.
Same model and customer wants me to fit a FHP motor with an orange sticker and code 160201702. I have heard that some are for digital and some analogue, does this refer to timer as opposed to control panel lcd?
    Will this one work?
    Thanks
