Thanks for the replies gents. It was just looking at the paddle it looked like it had two screw holes and I had visions of having to drill holes to plug later.
I didn’t have remove any, just replace a missing one However, the new one slipped in andI bent the metal lip to hold it in place, accessed from the sump hose hole 😀 easy peasey.
Thank god for that as the machine was in a red hot untility room and I was working in shorts stripped down to the waist. I couldn’t even wedge the door open as there were two little terriers outside just wainting to get in and attack me whilst prone on the floor…. 😀
All fine but as I put all my tools away back in my car, while doing the wet test. I came back to a small puddle on the floor…tiny, tiny pin prick hole on the drain hose elblow coming from the pump…. 👿 Just what you need at 4pm on a Friday…

ParticipantRe: Summer music festivals – anyone out and about???
Getting ready to go to V Festival (Weston Park). Staying at a friends house near the site so we can get to the camp site nice and early. 😀
Haven’t fully recovered from my holiday travels and I’m away again….

Also, it might be useful to put a small bead of silicon between the bottom soap drawer cavity and where it meets the control panel so any leaks/condensation can’t get in. A thin bead so it doesn’t impede the drawer being closed.

Thanks, I thought it was me. I was pretty sure I was getting 20{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} but to be honest after opening the account I stopped checking. I just normally check 2 or 3 suppliers and see who is cheapest vs delivery speed. Most of the time BSH are cheapest for their spares but not always. (not always quickest for delivery…)
I think it’s about time we re-started the debate about suppliers. I know I’m waiting to see if one of them produces their much promised upgrade and improvement come September. I don’t know what they’re doing at the moment but I can’t seem to get many Lux supplies from them and have now started a good working relation ship with my nearest Serviceforce Centre. Who are absolutely brilliant and to date, have never failed to have what I need in stock with next day postage or self collect. 😀
Don’t get me started on the price of spares….. 👿 👿 👿 👿
……oh that feels better……… another beer

ParticipantRe: Whats the most annoying thing customers do?
they never cease to amaze me…
2 weeks ago regular customer rings, leaves a message (frg/fzr – frg ok fzr too warm) I return the call – leave a message, then another – no reply
fast foward to yesterday – 3 messages on my answer service – same fault…Went this mornig at scheduled time, he’s out Arrgg.
Eventually got back this afternoon – Beko CSB4606FFW 03 serial….
Iced over evaporator – flipping stunk of rancid fish that’s obviously been going off slowly over weeks… that and the blasted cat hairs in the freezer !!!!!
Fault turns out to be faulty defrost timer… and oh yes the customer had seen and read the articles but didn’t think his was affected him because his was an old appliance. Customer just got back to me, Beko says it’s ok for him to use it and they’re out next Friday…
Suppose it’s saved him the cost of a defrost timer but a lot of wasted food and a very smelly house…..
PS I can still smell the rancid fish even after a shower…RocketMan
ParticipantRe: Neff 6544 sump hose
SIL 36176600 sump hose or 36054900 sump hose
Masterpart has the latter in stock…. don’t know which is which…
Use a search engine and you’ll find a picture of the latter…

8.66 ea or 2 for 5.70 ea plus usual and postage if order below £60.00
If the terminals are on the wrong side: keep your old one, strip it down and keep the old (white/yellow??) cover.
Get the new Coppreci, remove the red cover, and the solenoid, rotate 180 degrees and refit so the terminals are on the correct side, fit your old white cover and Bob’s your uncle.Oh and add a few pounds to your bill because you’ve saved the customer some money 😀 😀
Sent you a PM as well.

try this one,
got more phots but can’t up load them at the moment.
I used one an old bosch instead of BSH141124. Cost a fraction of it. Don’t worry if the terminals are in the wrong way around – easily moved.
I’ll try and get some more pictures sorted later.. must rush, got a BBQ to light

ParticipantRe: Bayonet Pump
what about UN51105 In stock at Masterpart. – copreci style – I’ve got one here and looks very similar – impellor stands very proud from the body… I’ve fitted this copreci to a couple of old Bosches. If you need the terminals at the from, just take it apart and rotate it through 180 degrees and refit – simples…

ParticipantRe: Beko fridge freeze recall
Quite right, Samsung may have been worse. However, Jeremy Vine did not help the situation on his show today. During the show it did not come accross very well at all. Quite poor really for Jeremy. A bit too sensationalist, rather than a practical sensible debate or advice. Too many Jeremy fans who came on the Vine show instead of the Kyle show. Lots of comments like: “I want a new freezer for this”, “I should be paid to take the day off”.
That said, this has all come out because London Fire Brigade has seen 20 fires due to these appliances. At least one person has died as a direct result of this fault. Nationally it will be a lot worse!!
We need a national recall organisation like they do in the USA. http://www.cpsc.gov/
Too much is left to the companies to sort, and they generally make little or no effort unless forced to by bad publicity…..
