    Re: Egg incubator

    Thanks Chris,

looks like I will have to go and do it now, he’s not too far, just can’t stop laughing at the thought of hard boiled eggs 😀

Reminds me of a job I saw advertised a few year back, “free range chicken catcher” must be fit and prepared to run around all day. Thought that was a wind up but the boss rang up for the job and sure enough, local free range farm needed chicken catchers 😀 😀

    Hi Brian,

Thanks for that. Yes getting hold of you MP has been a bit of nightmare this week. However, everyone has bad days even bad weeks occasionally. Thanks for posting and letting us know now. Might of been a bit more helpful if it was a couple of days ago though. I can’t think of a better medium for that than UKWG of course.

I hope things calm down for you and it returns back to it’s normal excellent service.

I will re-send my enquiries to .CO.UK and definately happy that your going back to city link 😀

A little bit of information will keep people happy, even if it’s bad news 😀

    Thanks

Re: Indesit idl40 drain pump o-ring

These are a pain. 👿 They always seem to be too large to re-ft. I always try to avoid breaking the seal. I always just remove the 3 screws to access impellor for blockages or pump replacement. Saves a lot of time and effort if you don’t have a spare o ring. Even if you have a spare of ring or the original is still ok, there’s always the chance of catching the o ring when you in fit the pump and there being a very slow leak……last time I just used two very thin ones from a plumbers O ring kit…worked a treat and didn’t cost £3.20 plus……..

Quiet is an understatement. I’m currently on same day call. Ring before 3pm and I’ll be with you that day. Just done a leaking DW fill hose for a Letting agent and they only called at lunch time. Shame though, lovely kitchen but now with wavey wooden floor tiles 😯 😯 😯 . Second time been to this MFI kitchen in a month. (last time was for Fridge Freezer faulty) It was only put in last summer so think it just under 1 year old…. who going to pay???? Hey any luck I could get the DW and WM to go faulty as well…

A W Services on 01603 630258. Almost reasonable price compared to some of the quotes I got from bigger suppliers and I believe they are now the official suppliers for MFI parts….I’m sure some one will correct me if I’m wrong 😯

depends who you’ve got accounts with….

but a working quality alternative has to be out there…. or someone should think about making some….

I did spend a bit of time trying to find one but to with no joy…..

Please let us know how you get with this one…the Seme idea sounds like it might be worth following up..

    Re: Thin Hose Clips

Right, as we have obviously got to get the sizes correct. Here a few piccies of WP circ motor and the clips I used for another job the other day.

    30-40mm on the heater side

Anything bigger is just too big 35-50mm:

    On the other end 16-32mm:

That’s not the full story, when you look at them side by side the jubilee clips need to be a bit larger to fit over the ridge at the end:

For the heater end I think 25-44mm and the other end 14-32mm or 18-38mm should be fine. Not having seen them it’s difficult to judge the quality and how they retain their shape when fully opened or closed – I’m open to suggestion for the sizes, what size are they described on SIOS?? ….but I definately want some for these jobs and others. HTH 😀

    Re: Thin Hose Clips

Did a WP dishwasher yesterday and made a mental note of jubilee clip sizes becuase I always forget them and end up with loads of the wrong sizes.

Sump hose I used a 16-32mm clip (bit tight opened right to limit) and for the tube heater I used 30-40mm. The heater was a bit too tight and had to completely unscrew it, put it on the hose and pull it tight to start it off again. But it worked with not too much effort. I tried a 35-50 on the heater but it was too big. Even got both of the thin clips here in my hand to if you want me to measure them or put a few piccies up??

    Regards
