ParticipantRe: Hotpoint WD860 3 phase control trips RCD
I was sure it was the supressor, but still faulty.
Called Tony at EMW he thought it was the main board as the fault
only showed up when the suppressor plug is in, another scrap machine ,
fitted a new display board two months ago and that was the
second one thanks for the help

The machine does not have a moulded plug,I checked the plug connections all ok, also the fault would not go away if you unplug

ParticipantRe: Help please ? Hotpoint WD440 !
Have you checked for water leaks on the heater box and
around the grey pipe connections, it can drip on the module
and cause it to trip.roy1

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint CTD85 tripping.
The only modiforication you need for a ctd dryer is to take it

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint CTD85 tripping.
I have tried the same trick with the hairdryer, but trips again a few
loads later. The only solution is to replace the heaters, i think its
down to poor quality insulators
