    Re: Waste Carriers Licence

If you repair any appliances the old parts you take off belong to the customer.

If you leave them with the customer then you will not require a waste licence.

Re: Siemens fridge freezer. Ice maker.water not freezing in

The fan is inside the freezer is the most common problem.

The Siemans fridge freezer is made by Daewoo so buy the Daewoo fan motor as it is a lot cheaper.

Check the fan is working in the freezer.

Open the door and press and hold the light switch, if the compressor is running the fan should come on in the freezer.

If the fan works then it is the air defuser motor between the fridge and freezer will be the most likely fault as the plastic slide vent on the motor breaks.

Re: GEC SIDE BY SIDE DIAGNOSTIC DETAILS NEEDED

The fault will be the fan motor not working or the air defuser/vent control between the fridge and freezer at the top inside left of the fridge compartment.

If the fan works it will be the vent control.

If the fan is not working it may be a defrost heater fault so you need to check you have voltage to the fan remember the fan only works with the door closed on most models.

If you have voltage to the fan but the fan is not working then the fan will need replacing.

You can try the WTA shop or AWS are now the agent for spares.

Re: Beko CDA648FS/1 Frost Free Fridge Freezer-Fridge is Froz

The fridge sensor is faulty but it is foamed in and not replaceable without damaging the insulation.

    Re: Diplomat oven

Yes if it is a diplomat then it should have a sticker on the top, or the back of the oven.

You will have to remove the oven to check.

If not the you will need to check on the element to see the wattage stamped on the element and if it is a two or three turn element.

Re: Fan element and fan not working

Yes it sounds like the switch is the problem.

You need to check the model number.

If it is a Diplomat it should have a number eg starting with APP, ADP or APM. Followed by four numbers.

Re: Fan element and fan not working

Yes a faulty door lock would cause this problem.

You need to make sure the switch at the top right is not broken off and is being pushed back as you close the door.

Sometimes the switch can become misaligned.

Re: DEFROSTED FRIDGE FREEZER THEN VERY STRANGE THINGS HAPPEN

I am sure the insurance company will make you an offer and tell you it is BER.

If it is eight years old then you will only get a small amount of money towards a new Appliance in most case’s.

    Re: Beko thermostat problem

Gas leak or compressor faulty. On a Beko if you have the water trickling noise there is a good chance it has also pumped oil around the system.

Did you keep the fridge standing up ? Or did you have it on its side when moving it ?.

Did you let it stand for about 4 hours ? or did you turn it back on without letting it stand ?

If you had it on its side and did not allow it to stand then it could have blocked the system and blown the compressor seals.

Re: Beko Fridge freezer- help me please!

It sounds like the compressor is not pumping / worn or it is low on refrigerant.

Not a DIY job and not a cheap repair.

Re: Integral moulded shelf runners damaged at front in freez

It depends on how bad it is but I would use white silicone rubber sealer like you use in Bathrooms.
