E11 is no fill, or fill not recognized.
When in diagnostics you can check it fills through all water valves. Does it do this?
Sometimes E11 will occur on second fill after machine empties but on filling it will syphon because drain hose is wedged down drain pipe with no air gap.
If appliance fills o.k in diagnostics but doesn’t work in customer mode, try checking heater for short to earth, disconnect heater wires & see if it will work.

Make sure you test it on timed drying rather than auto-dry setting.

Water not draining properly by the sounds of it, again check drain pump & filter, even drain hose & sump hose (where water comes from tub to pump) for blockages. When you start programme pump should run, or try on drain only setting, if you don’t here it then theres a problem with pump.

Are you sure its E31 & not E21 fault?

Well its a split tub so you can do a bearing change.
Take off back section of casing. Empty filter of all water first. Remove, door bellow from front, take soap drawer & sump hoses off at tub. Remove plastic bolts from top of shocks by releasing locking key. Take pressure vessel off, remove all wiring from motor & heater, stats etc. You can take motor off also at this stage. Put something like a large towel under tub & release suspension springs at top to drop complete tub assy’ down. Split tub by removing the 17 (i think) fixing screws. Drum out to examine shaft, fit bearings & relevant parts, check heater for damage too.
    Reassemble in reverse.

Think I remember seeing one of these with a fault on the motor plug causing the same problem. The heater was wired through a connection at the motor plug & there was a faulty connection there, it stumped me for a while.
Worth checking to see if its the same type.

    Hi Lass 😆
Check that the drain hose from w’machine is not stuffed down the drain pipe it goes into.
Sometimes if theres not an air gap there, they syphon out water as they fill.
E31 = level of water not not detected by pressure sw’.
If theres another fault with p.c.b it may need an engineer

Maybe a switch fault, the contacts have been known to weld together sometimes, can be caused by a faulty element either.

    Re: Miele FF fault

I’ve found that some of these sensors leak moisture in where the cable goes in, giving out of range readings intermittently. If you can, dry it out with a hairdryer on warm setting only, put a smear of silicone sealant around it & this should cure it.
