4 flashes indicates E40 faults ( door problem or interlock )

Yeah, door will open as a precaution if high temp is detected, most likely excess fluff has caused a blockage.

Normally its a blockage, but if you need a circulation motor give me a shout, have 2 on the shelf.

Sounds like its the motorised water diverter not going to correct position. You can look in a little window & it will say position 1 2 3 etc

Normally located on RHS of oven as you view it from rear, 1/2 ways down ( if its the ‘button type’) if its the cable loom type it may be harder to locate as its hidden in wider cable insulation.

Best to go into service mode & check error code first 💡

Isn’t it the dishwasher with same motor that reverses as it drains & goes different direction for wash. I think i remember there being a problem with the pressure/level switches, hoses to them & fill matrix that caused problems lik yours. There may be a kit available which has different routing of pipe to pressure sw’ so as to prevent water/gunge lying in it. But if you clean out gunge it should help it.

Its a thermal cut-out device to prevent the motor from overheating when a customer sucks up a rug. Have found some of these boards on the motor to be problematic with dry joints etc.

    Re: Does anybody speak Amica?

Fault code for a motor problem as described would be the 60 & 30 temp led’s flashing at end of cycle.

It basically means that a supply was sent from the board to the motor but no signal was received back from the tacho.
Motor could be overeheating on longer cycles & going out on thermal cut-out.
Could be something as simple as a coin sticking between the tub & drum .
