Its normally the interlock thats faulty with door popping open problems, the latch can be adjusted slightly if its not holding closed correctly.
You could jam in the sliders so they can’t move during testing.
The fact that top basket when removed solves problem could point to top spray arm problem also, might be an idea to remove spray arm from top basket & try.

When you say oven switch do you mean thermostat?
The part for the small selector switch is 263100004

Re: Zanussi ZDC 5355W condenser (sensor) dryer not heating

Have you checked the condenser for blockages?
From what you describe the element seems to be working but it should glow red, just to warn you, :lesson: you should not test the appliance with the covers off.

The element has 2 sections which when split give 1/2 heat, if either of the sections of element are faulty then you can get the fault described. It can be tested for continuity with a multimeter. Check thermostats for poor connections too.
Sometimes though if theres a blockage in the air system theres not enough air flow & heater can go off on high temp after a short time.

If you have taken time to read the operating instructions it describes what steps to take to set-up the ice maker.
Is it not guaranteed, call for service if its not working?

Most likely the heater is at fault from what you describe, not going to be too expensive if thats what it turns out to be, they were a decent appliance, so if its in good condition i’d go down the route of at least phoning for a quotation from an engineer.

If you post the (PNC) 9 digit product number & (ELC)00 etc, of the appliance it will help us identify the part you require. There probably were different controls used across the range, some which are used from a certain production code.

Re: BEKO DRVS 73 W HEATING ELEMENTS CUT OUT

Theres a low temperature switch on the front, make sure its not selected, e/g lit, if it was selected dryer runs only on 1/2 heat.
N.T.C controls heating during drying with sensor under door switching off when degree of dryness is achieved.
Problems with poor heating could be attributed to blocked fan, blocked ducting or filters, or even on the outlet grill on outside of wall where vented air exhausts.
P.C.B could be at fault but this should be last resort to change.

Power off if checking, its a polystyrene float that raises with water level, makes a little microswitch & gives the fault code described.
Resets back once the water is taken out of base.
Normally theres some kind of leak into base to cause this in the first place.

    Re: Cooker not operating correctly

Perhaps not wired correctly, links not in correctly maybe. Timers have been known to blow if connected to incorrect voltage.
If it is under warranty, report it as faulty & get an engineer to check it.

No internal fuse, supply goes to on/off switch then to terminals 1(L) & 2(N) of KN2 edge connector on P.C.B, door switch comes into place to operate appliance, e/g it wouldn’t run unless door is closed.

Sensor bar fault should’nt effect all programs, only the sensor dry ones, it should work on timed drying o.k even with a faulty sensor bar.

Check the on/off switch first, then p.c.b, power off when testing.
