Re: AEG Lavamat Turbo L16830 – Which PCB?

Element shorts to earth are the most common problem on these w’dryers.
What tests did you do to come to the conclusion that there was no earth leakage? Was a megger or similar used?
Cable loom breakage at connection to motor or inverter board could be causing problem either, seen a few of them with that fault.
:lesson: Careful while working with inverter board as it produces 380v 3phase & holds charge for quite a while, can shock you even if the power is off.

Re: AEG OKO Favorit 6040 not filling

Only way circulation pump failure would effect appliance filling would be if it leaked into base & activated float switch, drain pump would run continuously. Circ’ pump is not repairable, but can be replaced (if available) although will be expensive, 9 digit PNC code of appliance needed to identify/order correct parts.

NTC r T’Stat, if it was faulty, appliance would think its at temperature & bypass heating.

Re: Zanussi ZX97/5Si How to get to the evaporator part

Its not that easy to identify precisely what the problem when we are not testing the appliance, it may be a fan problem, could be a circuit board problem, defrost heater problem, but difficult to quess without seeing it operate.
If you don’t feel competant to repair it, its maybe better that you employ someone who can identify the parts & see whats causing the problem & repair.

Either the belt is off or broken or the motor carbon brushes have worn. Power off :lesson: if you are doing any testing or removing covers.

Sounds like water has leaked into the base & activated the float switch which runs the pump continuously until the leak is repaired & water removed from base. Power off of course when testing.

Access it from inside drum, backplate comes off, allen key needed. Turn drum around with your hand until the studs line up.

Would say i’ve done at least a hundred of these with E62, never had to replace a motor for an E62 fault, have had to replace many motors because of them breaking the mounting lugs off the tub & for wire broken to tacho.

Triac could be replaced on P.C.B, not more than a quid for the part i’d think.. 💡

Re: BEKO AB910W Error 8 desperate help please

When you say 8 appears where does it appear, does the appliance work otherwise or what is the problem you have. For instance have you taken temperature readings in the fridge & freezer departments?
No matter how rural you are you should get someone to quote to repair it, if its under warranty Beko should come to repair it within a reasonable time, if its out of warranty its up to you to get someone to repair it.

E8 is an Ice sensor failure by the way. Fans in freezer not running or going slow are the commonest problems with these appliances.

Re: Strange days indeed – most peculiar mama LAV 62800

Worn brushes would cause poor contact, motor would overheat & go open circuit, when it cooled down it would continue at where the programme was, possible jumping into action. They tend to overheat & go open circuit more on wash than on spin.

Door lock would likely not be causing the machine to halt, but the 1 min’ fault you describe is normally caused by the appliance finishing but not going to zero as the door interlock has not unlocked when it should, common fault on AEGs’

Re: Strange days indeed – most peculiar mama LAV 62800

Brushes probably worn & the motor is overheating, the 1 on the display leads me to think the door interlock is not unlocking. So you may have 2 faults to sort out.
