Turning the dryer off before it’s finished the cooling cycle can cause the one shot toc to go.

    No! Twintubs are history……move on 😉 🙂

Try and tell that to the old age pensioner that only knows how to use a twin tub and would have to fork-out a fortune to convert their kitchen to accommodate an automatic – might just finish them off altogether!

    Shame on you Martin 😆

Are there any neon lights lit or digital display? The edge connector on the front pcb can give trouble on this machine, try disconnecting, squeezing the connections together and then re-connecting – might just cure it 😯

You have to take the outer cabinet off and the wash tub out to easily access the three bolts that hold the plastic support tube on. If memory serves me right, the hardest part is getting the old tripod off – good luck 🙁
    Stock up with WD40 & penetrating oil – you’ll need it 😆

This m/c has a EDW1001 module fitted – a common fault is a dry joint at the heater connector on the board!

Pretty sure that model has the motor driven disc that directs the flow from the top arm to the bottom arm on rotation. More than likely drive field coil open circuit and the disc is stuck in the upper arm flow position.

Expensive because I think its all part of the circulating motor and therefore sold as one complete unit (not certain though)? However, in the passed i have managed to turn the disc so it is open between both – allowing flow to upper arm and lower at the same time! Powerful motor so even though apertures only half open should drive both arms round. Worked in the past for me 😀

    Hope this helps,
    Brian.

Split in pressure stat hose? If not then faulty pressure stat perhaps! (assuming pressure switch fitted).

Drain hose below syphoning level? – partially blocked inlet valve? Kinked inlet hose, are the first things that come to mind!
