no worries, check the elements when you have dried them out though because when they get wet the carboard running through them breaks 😉

where the pump sits in its housing in the bottom left hand corner there is a hole that connects the 2 and it often gets blocked up, get large bag tie and have a good poke around then you should see it fill up

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint BFI62 D/W
the only way you are going to resolve this is to get the serial number and industrial code off of rating plate otherwise you are going to keep going round in circles.

its basically the same as the rs21 and will prob have the same problems as they have, as a short term fix you could try defrosting it for 24 hours with the doors open. but i would say it will need an engineer at some stage to test the components in the fridge,thermal fuse,sensor,defrost heater and evaporator cover all of which it could need, but let us know how it goes after defrost.

TBH i would be looking at your plumbing 1st if its not taking the water away, or it could be that the machine is siphoning by pushing outlet hose too far down stand pipe. is extremely rare to have 2 machines with same fault after similar amount of time, did you install it yourself by any chance ?.

problem = loose connection
solution = find loose connection by process of elimination.
you have more or less answered your own question though in that when you move the brushes it works, i would be inclined to take off motor and have a closer look TBH hope this helps.
