    Re: Whirlpool/Ikea DWF B10 fault

From your description of start and stopping, I guess it could be the main circulation motor making a stuttering sound.
Some of these models had a askol style pump fitted which can stick during the wash.

    Unplug before removing panels.

Similar style to above information but may have black plastic casing fitted.

    Re: ISE 10 Heater

Our area is quite hard water, Never drink the stuff just from the tap these days the amount of chlorine it tastes discusting :rolls:

You can usually tell when the kettles gets scaled up they makes a vibrating noise and shake violantly on work surface as the bubbles from the element try and get through the scale.
Theres probably a technical term something to do with molecules and all that.

Tell them to descale every month washing machine cleaner, I dont think calgon does any good if the area is Hard.

    Re: ISE 10 Heater

Dave are you in a hardwater area?

If the element is scaled up it can make more noise.

Regarding element down to earth, it can make a noise due to the earth acting as a neutral. So depends on consumer unit fitted, if the house has an older system it would not necessary blow trip as a result, you just hear the heater louder than normal.

    Re: AW23 Rinse Hold Program

Sorry Missed that, told you customers dont read.

Obviously I did not see that either (should have gone to specsavers)

Still no explanation of this happeneing on the rinse hold option page 9.

Just maybe this does need to be highlighted in BOLD 😆

Seriously though this could cause a problem if the customer floods the kitchen. I know they should have remembered they used this option but if it not in black and white then we get it in the neck. :rolls:

I know there are a few stupid customers out there and they are usually mine. Probably not many of them actually use this option including delicates, they use one program cottons and thats it so the chance of this coming to light is very slim.

As i said now I know this happens I will be emphasising this 😉 😉

Thanks again Ken as always :worthy: you the man 😆 [/u]

    Re: AW23 Rinse Hold Program

    Thanks for the reply Ken

I have had a quick skip throu the manual as far as I can see there is no mention of this?

If this is the case then we need to advise customers that this is normal.

AS WE ALL KNOW CUSTOMERS NEED TO BE TOLD.

Obviously we cant change the printed manual, maybe get the online instruction book updated so customers can get an up to date one if required with this information.

Also the bit about the door lock mentions waiting two minutes etc.. but this also should have a note about in the event of a power cut the door will also unlock so be aware if water is still left in machine.

    Need to cover ourselves 😳

From now on I will make sure this is part of my lecture.
I will print a small note and slip in manual for now.

    Re: AW23 Drumming Noise

I think there is a connection with them being damaged.

Once exchanged I will have a good look before its collected and see if I can find reason.

Last 3 machines delivered have had some kind of packaging damage, although 2 when unpacked looked ok (looks can be decieving) If they have been dropped squarely or rolled, no visable damage can be seen.
A bit like when you hit your car looks fine but the damaged has been absorbed by the crumple zone, but its hidden.

The 3rd one when moved by hand packaging almost fell off frontal cabinet damage dent and creased lower chasis.
    This damage is obvious

So I think any unseen physical damage to the cabinet frame is causing some sort of weakness 😕

Got to be some kind of transport issue. If you have seen the way these guys chuck stuff around I am not suprised that they get damaged.

In hine sight i should have just refused the lot but when you have sales waiting, you just take a risk, this time its not paid off caused me no end of hassle two extra visits and two unhappy customers.

A tad 😳 😳 to say the least. but my fault.

Would like to try and get to the bottom of this. Hopefully will find out and let you know.
