    Re: Beko WMA 510S

    Hi Rogue

This was a person who called me in to their house as i was getting in my van. I was doing a job opposite. I basicly spun the drum which rumbled and had a lot of play up and down. I could tell they didnt want to spend any money so just BER’d it and left with out bothering to asses anything as i would normally. So i know i said i didnt see it but i meant i didnt take much notice. Now they are saying that they have been on to Beko who have agreed to supply the parts for free so i need to let them know the parts required and my labour. It looks like a complete drum job.

    Thanks for reply Rogue.

The bit that looked most difficult to me was getting the spring clip around rubber and outer drum edge especialy in between the bit where the weight block is.

Re: re Candy CPCA270FFK fridge overfreezing

Ive done quite a few of these recently. Replacing the sensor and refoaming. Its not as bad as it seems (about half an hour- 45 mins max). Had no problems. On a few occasions it has been the board. When its been the board there has been signs like the light dont work even when you replace the bulb, or the fridge wont turn off at the control, or the fast freeze light wont come on/ go off. I find them to be a good little earner. When i tell the customer that the sensor is foamed in because the fridge is badly designed, and it could be a right off except for the fact that i can work out where the old sensor is, cut it out and replace it, saving the fridge, they are very happy. (It makes me look clever too).

It is not controlled as it has no ozone layer depletion, or green house effect.

I think she’s talking out of her pretty little #rse! Part P is only to do with the integrity of the electrical system of the property and not what you plug into it.

Is there a valve in the diverter unit that you replace? Or do you replace the whole thing? Which would seem to mean cutting the copper lines to and from the unit and rebrazing.

Hi Lerch, How did you sort out the stuck diverter valve? Are they serviceble? Ive had a few of these with this problem (only one compartment cold) and was not sure if it was diverter valve or board. It would be interesting to know how to deal with this problem instead of having to walk away.

    Thanks

Ive used the universal condensor fan motors that masterpart do for about £5. They come 5,10,15 watt etc. They have three threaded holes on the back so fit straight on.
