Its ok ive found it now on BSH. I confused the search, it seems, by putting washer dryer in the “Discription” box.

    Hi Rob

S/N 20030810702. The fan starts up straight away after turning on the fridge even though the evaporator had been completely defrosted. It still only operates when the fridge door is closed though. But just pulses.

Not familiar with this model but i would have thought that you should definatley have continuety through the toc and through the defrost stat(if its frozen)

If the clicking is coming from the control board at the back and the compressor is not kicking in then the board probably needs replacing.

I think the one without the aquasensor now comes with the hole blanked off so you would not be able to swap the sensor from the old one.

Re: Hotpoint FF65P no evaporator fan

    Hi Monkey
Firstly the fan won’t operate if the fridge door is open. If you have checked the fan and know it to be working ie continuety or seperate power sauce then its probably a case of replacing the green and yellow sensors in the freezer. This fault has been well documented on here and there are many threads about it.

    Hi,
Have had a few problems with this fault on this machine myself lately.
If you are talking about the where abouts of the water sensor/indicator/pressure switch (not sure what correct term is) then its as follows. Remove filter and metal mesh from sump inside m/c. Look in the sump at 3 o’clock and you will see small black plastic grill. This is it. To remove it you have to get under sump and it just twists off like bosch drain pump. You will see it is just a rubber diaphram that pushes a micro switch. Check switch. You can take the diaphram out and carefully clean it. In the case of mine although the thing looked clean it felt sticky and greasey which was causing it to stick so machine thought it still had water in it when it didn’t. Or if you dont want to mess about, just replace it.

    Hope this helps

    Hi Greg.
When i tested the heater and stats, i put it on a quick wash and it filled and washed correctly and i waited until the water reached its required temp (30 degrees).

    Thanks

boselecta, I used to allow a scrap man to take away my old machines and thought he was doing me a favour. Now the value of metal is so high i took about 4 w/m’s a d/w 5-6 motors and a bag of bits that i had been storing up to the scrap metal yard and got £75. Not bad if you have the room and a big enough van. To be all above board you may need a waste licence though!

    Re: Hoover Fridge Freezer Sensor?

Thanks for your replies and thanks Andy for the info sheet, it was handy as although i recieved one with the sensor i ordered, it was all in Italian.

Now although things have been made clear to me now, im still a bit confused. The instructions you sent me Andy are the same as the ones that came with the sensor i ordered, but the appliance i have is the Hoover HFA27K which isnt exactly the same as the one in the instructions in that the wires that run from the control board to the sensor are not foamed in but run down the back of the fridge from the top on the outside of the foam and then enter the foam about half way down. Is the location of the sensor the same on this model as the instructions show?

    Thanks for your help!

    Re: Hoover Fridge Freezer Sensor?

    Hi Andy,
    my e-mail is beyzadeb@aol.com.

I have just had 2 more F/Freezers with same problem(freezing in fridge). On these models the sensor does not seem to be replacable. First one is a candy CPCA291FXK. This one im sure is the board as the light does not come on when you set the control to super nor can you turn it off from the control, it just keeps running. The next a Hoover HNMF2605AL80 doing the same except control seems to work (super light comes on and can switch fridge off when turned to 0).When i looked at board it had discoloured the white outer casing due to heat but no other obvious signs of problems. I had readings through the sensors. Why does Gias list a sensor that cant be replaced?

    Thanks

Re: Enough to make you vomit…

I went to a job for a letting agent for a broken washing machine door hinge.Had keys to let myself in as no one was home. The place was disgusting mouldy plates everywhere the corner of the kitchen was piled up with rubbish where they had no bin (food stuff empty egg shells etc), floor was sticky with grease and dirt. Did not have a hinge so left filthy door bowl on work top.Came back 2 days later with hinge, but door was not where i left it so looked around cluttered kitchen and found door bowl on table half full of soup.
