Re: Bosch SGS6962GB/13 dishwasher 199 minute wash!!

Does it heat ?. Is the water level ok, if not have you checked the dump valve on the side chamber ?.

This model also has the turbidity sensor, which comes into play on the auto programme. If the sump hose was crudded up chances are that is too.

Would be surprised if it’s the PCB TBH. More likely to be a sensor of some kind and the PCB is waiting on it.

No, it won’t be covered by guarantee I’m affraid.

However, if you bought it from Currys and took out the exrended warranty or whatever happens policy then you will be covered by their accidental damage as this runs from date of delivery.

Check the sump hose and pressure chamber.

First thing I would check would be how tight the screws are on the terminal block.

They have a habit of coming loose as it’s a bit tight in there. Also make sure the copper links are fitted correctly (if at all :rolls: ).

If that lot’s ok it’s probably gonna need a board.

    Perfect vodka/coke.

I love my old De Dietrich/Maytag, sorry. 😉

TBH, it’s people that are changing, more people are keeping fresh as opposed to frozen food and so these things are great for that. You can stock the fridge up with allsorts and you have deli drawers to keep meat better, crisper bins for salads and veg and on the list goes. They do make a difference although I would agree that I am also unconvinced by the water thing.

Anyway, it’s not as if you could call the freezer small! 😆

And, further, people pay damn good money to get the things fixed so my call is, buy more of them ’cause they get repaired and not tossed at the first sign of trouble.

    K.

Ah I see Ken a vodka and coke slush puppy eh 😆

TBH I’m a whisky and water (from the tap) man myself, so no need for crushed ice.

I also see where you are coming from with repair rather than chuck point. The Maytag is a decent bit of kit, however the cheap far east copies leave alot to be desired IMHO.

I find it hilarious when you go to a small kitchen and there is this monster F/F taking up all the room, just so they can have cold water or crushed ice 😆

    Re: Cooker Hood installation

I know it’s not the ideal solution, but as I’m sure you know too long a run or
too many bends will seriously impede the performance of the hood.

Just thinking of the easy way out (as usual) 😉

Also a few integrated fridges and freezers are badged as Tecnik. As are some hobs and hoods.

What about charcoal filters and use it in re-circulation, thus doing away with the ducting :con:

I don’t think there are any fans or anything on this model, so the only thing

that can make a grinding noise would be the compressor 😥 .

This would also tie in with temp problems you are having.

Yup, pretty sure someone has set the child lock 8)

See instruction book for how to turn off, IIRC it may be hold start for four seconds or so.

2h means cycle will take longer than 2 hours.

Have you checked the heater isn’t o/c ?. This model also has the turbidity sensor fitted, so could also be gunged up.

fitted the drain hose under the sink , check that the end has been cut off.

I agree try removing drain hose from waste and placing it in a bucket. Then try to drain the m/c.

Otherwise you will more than likely face a call out charge if it’s not the m/c that is faulty.

They can all differ, some it’s as easy as holding the start button down for a few seconds.

Others you have to stand on your head spin round 3 times and touch your toes 😆

Seriously though, it will tell you in the instruction book how it’s done.

BTW dodgy contact on door s/w is another possibility, get loads of fluff and stuff around there. Remove and clean sometimes does the trick
