Good old connect, I’m still waiting for a returns number(2 weeks)to send an order back that I had already cancelled twice!

The last one I had from connect didn’t have a wiring chart with it 😡

ParticipantRe: By chance
Typical connect show the hotpoint one at 37.09 + vat to me, but we won’t start on that topic again, otherwise we’ll be here all day.

Due to the high voltage :zap: stored with-in the microwave, even when switched off, you should under no circumstances attemt any repair yourself.
It could be the thermistor or the pcb at fault, so I would suggest trying the repairs@ link for an engineer in your area.

Hi, if it has a pump switch on it, it will more than likely be a faulty pump, and will need replacing.

ParticipantRe: Connect….. again!
No complaints with deliveries, I’ve ordered as late as 4pm and still received the next day. Is anyone still ordering from parts centre?.
I’ve noticed that they seem to be quite a bit more expensive than connect lately on quite a few items, plus they have there dreaded £5.50 delivery on top!!.

Cheers Gegsy, thats what I thought. Started off with ceramic base cracked, then when fitted discovered both h/v transformers gone up in smoke, replaced and now this! have repaired quite a few of these in the past 15 years and always thought E2 was a high voltage problem, but everything meters out ok.

ParticipantRe: Workloads
We’re the same, been very quiet for the last 3 weeks or so. Had 4 calls booked for today, phones been very quiet even for a monday.
As long as we can ride the next few weeks things should be ok.
Still, like you say, come october/november we’ll be moaning!.

ParticipantRe: AEG microwave. intermittently not heating
Hi Kevin, the only real problem I’ve had with these microwaves intermittently heating, is the h/v lead up to the mag from the capacitor.the connector on it is very flimsey.I have always cut the connector off and replaced it and then soldered the connector, also had a couple where the connectors have been slightly arcing on the capacitor.
Hope it helps!
