    Re: ISE spare parts prices

    Out in the field my conversation goes like this;

Customer, ” What do you think of Bosch?.”

Me, ” Bosch are ok but its the cost of their spares that stops me from recommending them.”

Customer, ” What do you recommend then?.”

    Me, “ISE.”

Now this is where a cost comparison on spares is required.
All I really need is the cost of an ISE2, ISE5, ISE10 motor, module, pump.

I can’t give prices at the moment if I did I would be guessing.

    Re: Askol pump rant

Strange this topic came up as I was going to ask the same question.

Had 6 or 7 Askolls do this recently. There is a newer style coming through from Homespare now. I wonder if this is due to a problem?

The only link I can see is the ones that have burnt out have been generally fitted to washer/dryers. Last week I swapped to fitting plaset pumps instead of Askoll.

Re: ISE and why I am reluctant

I sell ISE machines and have access to the ISE forum.
You won’t find much on there to answer your queries. There are no part prices available yet, as far as I know. I’m hoping prices will be available soon. Tech info is available on all ISE products apart from the dishwasher, again as far as I know.

Prices have just changed on the ISE2 and Dishwasher. Both have gone up by £20.
In my eyes the extra £20 on the ISE2 will make it difficult for me to sell as a budget machine. I was selling it for £269. I know some were selling it for £299 before the increase.

What else would you like to know???

Tried online payment earlier. In the end phoned the order through.
Will see how it goes next time.

Are you sure the pressure tube hadn’t just dropped to low?
Also you say you checked the tube for air leaks, how about the end of the tube and the end of the pressure vessel was there any muck narrowing them?

If you are looking at the Peugeot stuff, look at Citroen as it is absolutely identical and always cheaper.

I’ve just changed my van and found that the citroen dealer near me was way off the price from my peugeot dealer.

I was just about to sign for a new expert L1H1 when they had a 5 month ex-rental come in. 1800 miles on the clock. Air con, bluetooth, etc.

Saved me a bomb! They also gave me a much better trade-in on my old one. I found outright purchase was best for me.

probably drips of water from the back of the dispenser getting onto the
    carbon brush connector.

    usually happens on the rinses.

    Update:

Fitted new motor and invertor board 7 days ago. Rang customer today and all is well.

It will be interesting to find out which part was at fault once I get parts back to Sean.

Changing the invertor board was easy, the motor was a different story. Getting the four torx screws out was no problem. It was ‘teasing’ the motor off the mounts that was difficult.

    Anyway job done.

If you push in the ty-wrap end that protrudes near the back cover you can carefully pull the wires through the hole where the black grommet was.

You can then disconnect old heater and connect new one properly. Then through the grommet hole you can guide the ty-wrap back in place. You can do it with your finger if you have skinny fingers or you can use a wire coat hanger (bent to the correct angle).

Much tidier than cutting and butting.

People seem to be much more inclined to repair than replace, perhaps they are finally taking the economic downturn seriously.

You might be right. I hope so. It may be just wishful thinking.

    Well done!

I would have given it at least 24 hours after job completion before posting! 😆
