I always replace pressure tube with a thicker type. 2 metre lengths available from Homespare. Also worth changing the breather tube to the new type design.

    Lid off.
    draw out.
    two screws in bezel.
one screw on right side of bezel.
    tilt bezel upwards and unclip.
remove door seal from front lip.
    remove two door microswitch screws.
    remove lower kick plate.
remove upper and lower screws which hold front panel to machine.
    slightly lift front panel upwards.

    door seal now easily accessible.

Check for burnt connectors on main board. If connectors ok i would say triac fault on board!

Its worth a quick insulation test just to make sure no other part is at fault.

water leaking from breather tube onto pump… blown triac on main board?

even open circuit pump can cause no go faults.

if all seems well main board at fault rather than selector.

Please call an Engineer. I think it will be a safer route if you are that unsure.

    Original board burnt.
    Recon Board skipping programmes.

As you have checked everything i would say recon board faulty, or wiring incorrect, or poor connections. (did you change loom or individually spade wires?)

Have you run it on its test programme???

Did you insulation test the heater or just ring it out?

Low insulation on heater does cause a no heat on this model!!!!

I think its a brushless motor on this model. Have you tried changing the starter capacitor? Normally 20 mF.

Are you sure the wiring connections haven’t been tampered with?

Have you tried a different wall socket?

Could’nt agree more with suedehead1. For the twelve years i have been in this trade i have only sold Hoover machines. (ISE as well now). I rate Hoover and find their machines reliable and the cost / availability of spares is good.

I have gained many new customers directly from the work i do for GBDAR. Yes they may have a Servis machine which they don’t want to spend much on, but a new customer is a new customer. Only last week i sold an ISE to a customer gained through the in-guarantee job i did for GBDAR/Servis.

Side issue, did you check for blockages in condenser ducting and blower motor? if these are blocked the TOC will trip again due to poor air flow.
