It never fails to amaze me how desperate people get.
The letting agents are getting worse too, as long as the tenant is off their back they don’t care how it may affect the next person down the line.
People need to get some real problems.
But if they do don’t tell me about them when I’m at their house.

    Re: Display totally dead?

Yep sorry Jim, this is what I was thinking of:

    Backlighting
Two minutes after the wash programme finishes the display backlighting enters energy saving mode.

I could be totally wrong (generally I am) but was there not an energy saving option / setting on this model?

Also try opening the door 3 or 4 times every 15 seconds upon starting & see if it eventually behaves itself.

    Re: Hotpoint Dishwasher

These newer dishwashers have a variable speed circulation motor which is controlled by the board.
I would be hesitant in just changing the motor.
I had one doing the same the other week. I gave it the normal clean out & as always I suggested the customer to change to fairy gel capsules rather hard tablets.
All seems well with it now.

No trouble as such other than I always carry one in the van.
As long as your not having trouble with early failures on the ones your replacing then alls good in the world…

E05 is because you’ve disconnected the temp sensor plug.
Stop playing around with it & just replace the heater it will then be ok!!

Things would get done but at an increased price for everyone in the equation. Who pays for that, Joe public.
    Mad world.
