Boards are generally only suited to the specific model.
You would also need to work out what damaged the board before fitting a replacement.timdowning

How did the tub to sump seal look. Was it crusty? You can get weeping from there which then drips onto the diverter.

ParticipantRe: T25 condenser
All I know is the one I had to change motor, fans & thermostats needed new seals as it leaked after I put it all back together.
Steven don’t take K’s comments personally its seems to be his stance to blame the user, environment or us. It can all be very patronising and rather unhelpful.timdowning
ParticipantRe: T25 condenser
Can I suggest you do change the seals. It will leak if you don’t.

I’m assuming they are planning on stopping Which local then?
Shame if they are as I have got quite a few jobs from it.timdowning
ParticipantRe: Bosch washing machine spin time?
Some of these Bosch, on spin only, do that. Sometimes doing a rinse & spin will give it the full spin cycle.

ParticipantRe: Bosch WVD24520gb/01 Washer dryer
The point I was trying to make was even when you resolve the fault the dryer still does that start stop business at the very beginning, thats normal. So as long as it doesn’t stop after 4 minutes you know you’ve sorted it. Hope that makes sense.

And don’t forget the dryer function on this does start then stop then start again even when everything is ok.

Thanks for quick reply.
So is heater switching (on & off) done by just the reading from the NTC to control card?December 9, 2013 at 7:19 am in reply to: Does the term trade prices actually mean anything anymore #405931timdowning

I generally aim for £40 on a dryer, £60 to £80 on a washing machine, even on lower end. £90 to £100 on an integrated appliance. This pricing tends to work well.
I think if your worrying about making a couple quid here & there on blanking plugs & hoses your working way to close to it not be worth your effort. I always emphasise why I’ve fitted longer hoses but have never been thanked more than once. 🙂December 8, 2013 at 7:12 pm in reply to: Does the term trade prices actually mean anything anymore #405928timdowning

Just out of interest can you give a Beko model & price as well as a better end Bosch.(What you pay & what you sell).
Thanks.

That’s what I’m saying Bryan, that’s the point I’m making. Its difficult to compete.
I do sell Amica as well, but I need those £400 plus machines on my books as well. (Until they dropped the WAE24369 to the £319 price that is).
How do you get on selling a 1200 Amica? Currently I can get them through swift £152 ex VAT. What do you sell them for fitted etc?December 8, 2013 at 11:35 am in reply to: Does the term trade prices actually mean anything anymore #405924timdowning

It is getting harder to compete. These online companies, particularly ao, are able to beat us hands down on price. The days of trying to sell an appliance on our service and complete job done doesn’t work as well either, as these companies now offer same day / next day delivery & disconnection / installation at a minimal charge.
I do till sell a lot of new appliances particularly integrated dishwashers. The integrated stuff you can still have a good return on. But freestanding is more difficult to make it worth while. Lucky I still have some old school customers who don’t Google everything.
I buy all my appliances from Swift who are great on the phone and offer me a twice weekly delivery. Its very rare to have a problem with them & deliveries are left in my garage so I don’t have to be around to take them in.
I’ve been really pushing the Bosch freestanding but the best deal they have at the mo is a WAE24369 @ £279.95 ex VAT. John Lewis are doing the same model at £319 excluding the £25 Bosch promotion.timdowning
