I’ve seen loads of these with the red float bobbing away which in turn causes the pump to momentarily run. As soon as the circulation motor kicks in it stops. I would put money on it that it was doing this before you took it apart.
(You could have just sucked the water/persil directly out of the salt unit ).

I know they modified some of the heat pumps & therefore the wiring. Maybe when you changed the module you should have changed the heat pump & wiring to the newer version??

Just interested how you eventually clear it to get it to start again?

(I can’t believe it would be to do with anything mechanical or anything that needs oiling)

    Just found this;

F37 is an NTC fault……is the machine in an outbuilding ? Maybe sited somewhere very cold ?

If it is , ask the customer to pour about a litre of warm water into the drum , leave for 30 seconds and then try it . It may be that the NTC has gone out of range .

If not , then you should be looking at he heater element and NTC.

    Re: hoover oph616 gasket problem

I’ve had this a couple of times. The drum eventually doesn’t rub anymore. Unless, of course, the drum I support is starting to go.
I would just get them to keep using it. As long as there is no play or knocking from the drum it should eventually seat.

(Just tell them its a slightly tighter seal to prevent foreign objects catching in the seal).

    Re: Doing Contract Work

Thanks, that’s all good to know.
Going back to coverage and skill set, I assume the WTA do keep a list of this for each member? This would make me feel a lot happier knowing my details will be passed on to manufacturers without having to send & resend details, as I have had to do in the past, as well as looking out on this site for the nod from the WTA to send them the details again when another opportunity arises. Ta.

    Morning,

I would like to know what work WTA members are getting & from which companies.
I have put forward my details, when contract work is being discussed, and have never had anything from it.

    Many thanks.

I specifically said to a customer don’t ring to chase me up on whether a part had arrived.

She phoned 2 days later saying, ‘ I know you said not to phone, but I was wondering if the part was in ‘.

    ‘No’ I said.

I agree with bazza. (Not a reduced rate though).
Its not the engineers fault after all.
I had a no spin call yesterday due to the spin selector being on no spin setting. I checked the machine over, cleaned it out & told the customer what they had done wrong. I charged my normal labour rate, why should I reduce my rate to fit their stupidity? I know this isn’t directly the same as in-guarantee work but its still my time getting there and doing the job.

    Could be an OPH716DF ?

What did it look like when you took it apart?
Normally the selector can be slotted back into place.

Did you check the very small connector underneath the control board. I’ve had these come adrift in transit.
As you know holding start for 10 to 15 seconds resets these machines eventually. If wiring ok I would go for selector. (fingers crossed).

Im not sure what the four flashes equate to? But I had one sometimes stopping with no apparent reason. I replaced the door switch assy and all seems well.
