When a customer phones to cancel a call and tries to make out their doing you a favour by letting you know they are cancelling.

‘I thought I’d phone to save you a wasted journey’.

    How noble of them.

    Re: Neff D/W no fill?

I had it a few weeks ago with a customer washing a vase in the dishwasher. She stood it right way up, she admitted to it when I quizzed her.
The majority of customers I see with this style of machine don’t even know there is a reset let alone how to use it.

As in, the pot was up turned and the water went inside the pot. Thus removing the water that can be circulated.
I too have had the fault you have Jim, numerous times. Nothing ever came of them, so I put it down to user error of some kind. A reset always worked for me. I would always look busy giving the rest of the machine a flush through & clean with my wet & dry!

Reed switch / flow meter part no. 611317

E15 water in base (as you know)

Tripping the electrics could be, as you know, water into anything. (Even though no water came out).

(Why don’t they give you the full story – because we are mind readers)!

Re: Hotpoint TCM580 Belt not lasting

I wouldn’t give it so much thought. You’ve got to strip it half down to change the belt, so an inspection of parts is easy enough. Squirt of oil here and there will help.

I think the confusion is where all the work comes from?
It can’t be down to people searching online.

    Re: National Appliance Care ?

I’d still like to know how people are finding out about this National Appliance Care to book the call in the first place.

Re: profit on spares. How much can you charge for a pair of carbons or the odd drain pump. I would imagine it would soon come back to bite you if you overcharged.

Easier than the previous range. I did one the other week by just taking lid, side panel off and removing module. You can then reach into motor/heat pump to remove. make sure theres a new hose clamp in the box.

E15 is water in base, I think.

Did you check to see if the lower spray arm was split on the moulded seam?

Re: Brand new Bosch on never ending cycle

Is the timing of the rinse ok? And the spin? If they are it sounds like the wiring to the wash heater has come adrift. Not the most secure terminals and can come off in transit.

Re: Bosch WVD24520 dryer cutting out?

Probably the hose at the bottom of the condenser. A pig to get to but can be done in situ. If your lucky you can rod it out & flush it through with bowls of water poured through where the fan motor lives. With a bright enough torch you can see the blockage through the drum holes (back left).
