Done a few of late. Just whacked the old shaft off. Its luck if you leave any sharp edges though. I just used the parts that come with the version 4 drum kit. Pads included.

Anything low insulation will cause this. Disconnect the dryer heater…

A bit of a long shot… have you tried plugging it into a different socket. You can get weird faults like this with iffy points.

Re: Stumbled across this whilst looking for fridge training

A couple of years ago there was talk of Ian Dales sorting training in conjunction with the WTA. I enquired a few times but never did hear the outcome. I’m wanting to do a refrigeration course but its the locality of it more than the cost. Any news…

I would ask her to try it on the low heat. I’ve got one of these that works fine on low settings but cuts out on the high.

You do have to be careful though as this range of boards have been known to catch fire.

I’m sure I had this a few months ago. The new lock now listed was the same as fitted on the old WMA range.
Hand one in the van, held my breath and all was fine.

If timings ok on rinse cycle & spin cycle then I would be checking the heater & wiring to heater.

There is a possibility they didn’t want to risk such a repair due to the fact if it didn’t work they would be held responsible. Just a thought…
(Similar argument to whether a heater relay can be safely re-soldered).

Did you check to see if the wiring loom was ok in door / hinge area?

You may find there is a supply but needs the resistance of the part, heater in this instance, for it to show?

    Im stuck

I think you are giving it far too much time. Tell him a price & let him decide. That’s it. You call the shots!!

Some models have an extra timer in the base of the dryer as well as the normal minute timer.

    Re: xmas eve unrealistic requests

I dodged all those calls this year. From the 21st all calls went to voicemail saying I wasn’t taking anymore bookings until the 30th. Its been most liberating.
