This has been discussed many a time on this site.

    A search should reveal all.

For me I’ve found that running half a dozen cycles can eventually allow the brushes to seat enough for the module to ‘like’ them.

If no joy after that you will probably find the fault is due to low insulation of the motor.

Do remember that the spin on its own never will do a full 11 minute spin anyhow.

Normally 1 minute left in the display is a heater related fault.

Got this from a recent post, haven’t tried it myself….

    Easy fix !!
Largest in the 3 capacitors on the main board rated 680u – 10v ….
Domed the top so sweated it off and replaced by a farnell item , cost all of 17 pence . Downside is you can only buy them in tens , i can live with that though …

I’m going to order some to try on my next WF or WT which has gone into disco mode.

I think these should do the trick.

I doubt any Director of any firm would be able to sort something out in 24 hours in ‘Frozen Britain’. Plus its a Friday evening.

I take it they haven’t delivered when they should have?

Alot worst things could happen than not getting a washing machine on time.

Thanks for reply, is that the module for this model ending in C.

    As connect are saying 5045174211437.

And on a post on this site it says c00143213 fits model without a C at the end.

You should have stuck at it Bryan!

First call Barton-le-Clay at 7.00am. Five Luton calls after that. And one in Clophill to finish.

I found today safer than yesterday!

Did you take the brushes apart?

Normally once you get the plastic apart it reveals that you can fit the standard bosch brushes.

Can’t you put the customer off by saying you can’t programme the new board??

Re: new belt would you pay or not

I would have approached it the same way you have.

    Customers, who needs them?

If you explain to Trading standards as clearly as you posted here then you should be fine.

Its often discussed on this site about last repairer is responsible for the machine. Even though your engineer took out the filter you didn’t actually charge the customer for that or the ‘wasted’ previous call.

Only in a mad world would TS side with the customer.

Absolute nightmare for you. I really feel for you as it is any repairers worst nightmare to be in this situation.

The only issue I can see is can you prove the fill hose was tightened when you left the dishwasher?

Do you have a clear conscience that the fill hose was tight when you left, whether or not you ever touched the hose.

I’m siding with you!!! I’m just playing devils advocate.
