    Doing a job for GBDAR…
Hot valve not closing so machine was drip, drip, drip for 48 hours max. Two half drum fulls of water.

The customer wanted to know who she could complain to. I asked why.
To claim the money back she lost in hot water. 😯

    WT721

Flashing all display lights and F02.

Changed the capacitor to cure flashing lights and it sorted the F02 fault as well.

I dont think it was just a bad motor or board connection giving the F02, as all connections were tight enough.

So it may be worth changing the capacitor for an F02 fault as well???

I’ve just got round to ordering some and during registering I had the choice of ‘trade account’ or ‘corporate card’. All very confusing, but went for the corporate card route. Followed the steps and paid with my debit card. No delivery charge came up. Will see what happens?

Good luck to you Mike. You certainly look very happy on it. 🙂

    On a side note;

Free call out, is that no charge at all if customer dosen’t go ahead with repair?

Thanks for reply but that motor is the replacement for the original askoll type motor.

This machine has a plastic motor with the heater attached to it.

Re: Candy CNW 136 Wont start

What your describing is no motor action. This could be a loose connector on the motor or loose wire on the carbon brushes.

Unplug machine before checking this out.

The connector you found loose in the fascia was probably unused all along.

Remember make sure machine is unplugged from the mains.

tim why dont you tell nursery you will do work after hours

Fair point. But its more convenient for me to get the CRB check done than go after hours.

I’ve got a couple of months to sort it before the filter needs unblocking again. 😉

Re: The cleaning problems continue – Bosch

Have you tried running the salt down. And then trying it. It may take some time for the salt to empty but this must be the next logical step.

You could then run the rinse aid down. And then try detergent on its own and then try a multi-function tablet with no salt or rinse aid in the machine.

Do it all logically and try numerous washes before the next stage of your testing.

    Have fun. 😉

    Re: pcb repairs, sticky??

Many moons ago I said there should be a separate sticky for module repairs. Perhaps the sticky could be called ‘module repairs.’ It would be more open. It would sit nicely with the hints & tricks.

Other board repairs such as the servis resistor change for dead boards, or the cleaning of the zanussi blue cable connector to cure flickering display, etc.
Oh…theres a good one about changing a zener diode for no heat on hotpoint dishwasher boards. I’m still to try that one.

    What do you reckon?
