Re: Miele T230C BLUE STAT BLOWING

Apparently……..some of the “blue spot” stats are of a higher temperature so it is important to order by model number – the higher temp stat has no blue spot I am told.

Another cause is that the motor capacitor – it has been changed to 8mf I think. The problem was that the drum would stall mid cycle making the stat get too hot and go oc.

Still have yet to solve mine though! going back tommorow & will report back 🙂

Being left on hold to complain is a great earner if your a major player sell rubbish to idiots.

You should get one, all added income.

I got myself an 0871 number JUST to give out to companies that insist in making me call there premium rate numbers! If I get a cold call from someone trying to flog me a “PAT testing service” or wanting to know if I would like to sell my business I always have a nice long chat …….’cos I know they have dialled the 0871 number he he

    Cheers for that!

It was a pressure problem, in that the circ pumb had a small piece of plastic restricting the flow.

    Ta very much!

Re: connect having a laugh, again

I have given up trying to have a reasonable conversation with Connect – the only good thing about there business is the fact that they hold so much stock.

I must say it is not ALL about price but the service has gone down hill rapidly, my pet hate is people who don’t return calls!

Maddocks, Qualtex etc must be enjoying a thriving upturn in trade!

    Re: Pattern Element

The only issue I have had is with the dreaded NEFF elements & I can honestly say it doesn’t make a difference if I fit gen or pattern! they are both USELESS!

As for the ones you mention I always use ueropart pattern & never have a problem.

    Re: Neff fan oven elements

I have just had a genuine 2 stud that lasted TEN MONTHS!!! wow yippeeee

I have started giving just six months guarantee, but this customer (Who incidently took three months & threat of CCJ before paying) has now said that would I kindly provide date of purchase from Neff.

He has a friend that works for trading standards and they said that he should take it up with Neff :rolls:

Three month guarantee now on all Neff elements I fit and twelve months on all the others!

Trading standards have advised me that providing it is in writing and customer is made fully aware before agreeing to have the repair carried out then 3 months is okay!

I have had a half moon element shorting on the strap that holds the insulation in place …..it pops after about thirty seconds of glowing bright red!

I don’t seem to get any more life at all from gen neff as opposed to pattern I also wonder what guarantee you all get from suppliers?

It has to be a guess OR ask the customer if there is any resistance at all, if there isn’t then I would go for the knob.
