    Re: Siemens D/W Dispenser ?

Lid arrived with spring but was for the rinse aid compartment.
You have to order the complete dispenser if the soap lid it faulty.

    Thanks

Re: Bosch Dishwasher SGS43E08 GB/44 Bottom Spray Arm!!

Well how cruel this job can be 😥 after all the head scratching and part changing the cause of the problem was a piece of plastic food wrapping jammed in the bottom arm, I think I am going to be sick 😳
All the jet holes looked perfectly clear though 👿
Going to carry a good clean second hand arm on the van in future.

    Thanks for your help

The gate valve is open for the bottom arm but not enough pressure to turn it. This model has the start relay (488191) clipped onto the motor terminals, could this be the problem I wonder as I am still convinced the wash motor is not running at full speed?

Thanks Chris. Got the customer to ring Bosch about the question of the spring as they would not help me. They have told her it does come with the spring so you were right.
Amazing when you spend thousands of pounds a year with a company and get no help when you need it.
Thank God for UKW Goods 🙂
Next problem is how it all fits together, fingers crossed it will be easy.

    Re: Hotpoint dishwasher foaming up…

I had a modern hotpoint leaking from the door the other week it seemed to be foaming up slightly. I was going to suggest a new door seal until I found out you have to have the door inner as well 👿 . So I told him to try using separate powder, salt, rinse aid etc this cured the problem so I think it is worth giving a go, after all it has got to be detergent related problem. IMO Finish products should be used and if this sorts the problem then try other cheaper brands is desired.

    Re: Magnetic Refrigeration

Yes as we all know Whirlpool have low prices on their finished products and high prices on their spare parts, all very sustainable 👿
I spend many hours a week explaining this to customers and feel sure over the last 10 years I have denied hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of business to the likes of Whirlpool, Indesit, Hotpoint etc.
Just starting to recommend the ISE machines as more and more people seem interested in appliances that last.
If the Indesit / Merloni group are still trading in 10 years time I will be amazed.

    Re: Worst Week Ever

I am amazed how busy the repair trade is at the moment with all my competitors very busy as well.
I have started to cut out Hotpoint, Servis and Zanussi washing machines and concentrate on Bosch and Siemens due to ill health but the work still keeps rolling in.
Have never been able to work out why the work comes and goes like it does 😕

    Re: independant training

Did the Graham Dixon course, worth every penny.
Did an NVQ course at Hemel Hempstead college before that and it was pathetic.
I learnt more in two weeks with Graham Dixon than 7 months on the NVQ course which I gave up.
