Re: Removeal of Miele W4446 front panel

    Thanks Dave,
That’s perfect. I tried to google it but that didn’t come up for me.
I thought it was a case of removing the control panel but when I removed the lid and then undone the screws on the right I assumed the whole fascia would have lifted off without removing the PCB. I didn’t think they would have designed something that had to be stripped down like that just get the front panel off when you consider how easy it is on their other washing machines.
I suspect the filter wasn’t tightened properly on this a caused the water to run into the base so I have drained the base with a long hose and syringe, tightened the filter and run tests so I don’t think I will need to remove the front now but I wanted to be prepared in case I have to go back to it.
    Many thanks.

Re: Beko WDIC7523002 Condenser valve not operating

Thanks for the tech info, interesting read.
it looks like the drying cycle starts with 1 minute distribute then pre-heating 10 minutes followed by thermal spinning for 15 minutes a total of 26 minutes without the condenser valve operating so it’s possible I didn’t wait long enough for the valve to operate.
Looks like I’m going back for more testing.

    Another thought on this:
Another fault was reported which was no heat. I found the wash element open circuit so this will have to be replaced. Could an open circuit wash element affect the condenser valve?

Re: Beko WDIC7523002 Condenser valve not operating

    Thanks for the info Dave.
The tech info you have sent refers to the valve that feed the condenser as the “condensing cleaning valve” so is this valve only used for cleaning rather than cooling the condenser when running? If it only cleans how is the condenser cooled?

I will pm you for the other info.

The new glass had written instructions in with it saying never to use them on the glass.

Did you need to replace the fibre seal when you did this.

Not come across the problem with the cleaner but worth noting. The customer sent a picture of the broken glass and I would assume it wasn’t caused by any cleaner.

    Cheers Martin,
You were spot on. The wire was broken at the NTC connector.
    Repaired and tested.
    Thanks for the help.

    Thanks Martin,

I’ll go back and check it. What resistance should I expect across the NTC?

electrofix wrote:all you have to do is a continuity test with a multi meter on the switch

I’ve done a continuity test and the switch tested OK when pressed but if there is a break where it’s soldered to the PCB a continuity test may not prove the integrity of the joint.
I also had continuity on the track behind the switch but with the PCB being manipulated outside of the casing it’s possible the solder joint could be touching.

    Thanks Dave,

I took a close look at the solder joints by the switch and couldn’t see anything obvious. I know they can break away with use (like the Hotpoint fascia boards) and often you can see where they lift away from the PCB but I was apprehensive try to re-solder as the joints are so small and if they weren’t faulty in the first place didn’t want to risk buggering the board if it wasn’t that.
If it’s not the solder joint for the switch do you think it more likely to be the interface board or the main PCB?

    Thanks electrofix,
Mag heater on’t work as it blows the fuse immediately. I will try just the inverter with the lower rated fuse.

With regards to the mag, I notice connect do a variety of 2M236-M42 at varying prices, cheapest being 5045175191141 at £44.52. Am I right i thinking any 2M236-M42 will work with an inverter board?
