ParticipantRe: Indesit IWME126UK module
If the intervention is not done using 5 way harness the washing machine, after the first standby will never turn on again.
This is what is happening so I think the PCB is buggered.
I think my best bet will be gat a PCB from EMW and hope the other board is still OK, I think it should be.Twoten
ParticipantRe: Indesit IWME126UK module
Thanks iadom,
I originally checked with Connect who said I can use a C00270972 module and advised it was programmed!
I fitted this module and obviously didn’t work.
When fitted the machine returned a f09, eprom/setup error.
I will see if I can get a module from EMW. Do you know if this is likely to have damaged the fascia PCB?Twoten

Hi Seamy,
Thanks for all the information.
The drip pan was dry but showed signs of either calcium or salt. The polystyrene float switch was not touching the micro-switch which I assume is the overflow float switch B8/3.
Tests proved the switch contacts to be OK.
The fault showed on the LCD display, the machine was unplugged for a while and then plugged back in. the display showed a couple of numbers (43 I think) then reverted to F70 after about 4 seconds.
The drain pump ran continually regardless of whether the machine was on or not.As unplugging the machine resets it and float switch is not activated is there anything else that would present this fault?

ParticipantRe: Indesit IWDC6105UK Washer dryer 4th light error.
Thanks for the info iodom, I did look for the error in the fault code section under the help menu. I assumed this would have had all the known error codes. I also done a search for the code in the forums but the couldn’t find anything relevant.
Martin:
The ‘known error codes’ thread is not a secret, but not having the same information in the error codes under the help menu is.
so now you don’t need to wonder! When in a customers, trawling throungh 138 posts to find a fault on a smartphone with a limited connection is not ideal but now I know the information in the error code thread is more comprehensive I will look there first.

This machine is only about 18 months old and has just done it’s second element.
It’s not worth replacing them!
Because of the cost of them I think the owner is better off keeping the machine on contract/insurance.June 8, 2014 at 9:13 pm in reply to: aqdpra89uk Aqualtis Steam Washing Machine elements fail #414998Twoten

I also have another model for this machine: AQ113D697E(UK).
The element for this machine is slightly different than a standard element as it has a metal plate linked between the heating ‘tube’ and NTC.
https://connections.connect-distributio … id=2215189I assumed this was specific to steam washing machines and allowed the NTC to sense the element temperature rather than the water temperature.
Can someone confirm if that is correct?June 7, 2014 at 9:05 pm in reply to: aqdpra89uk Aqualtis Steam Washing Machine elements fail #414995Twoten

The customer didn’t want to wait for Hotpoint.
If I suspect a machine is under warranty I always check and advise a customer to call the manufacturer but not the first time it’s happened.Twoten
ParticipantRe: Neff S52E50X1GB Tap light on.
I have replaced the drain pump and the reed switch but the problem still exists.
Does anyone have any other suggestions what else could cause this problem?
Would something caught in the wash pump cause it to sense it’s not draining?

Thanks Criscold,
I double checked the NTC, at ambient (which today was about 12°c) the resistance was about 30kohm.

ParticipantRe: Neff S52E50X1GB Tap light on.
I already have a reed switch for this so think I might give that a try first before ordering the pump.

ParticipantRe: Neff S52E50X1GB Tap light on.
The machine does not attempt to fill. On the earlier machines that use the impeller jug I have only known a fill problem when it overfills as it doesn’t sense the water coming in hence the tap warning light.
Would a faulty reed switch on this machine prevent the fill altogether and bring up the same fault?Twoten

Thanks, I will take a pump with me.

This machine is about 4 years old so would that be about the age you would expect this?
