Re: Neff S4453N0GB/13 instantaneous heater question.

The machine sounds as if it is pumping enough volume of water round and not making any strange noises.

Not sure about the top basket engaging at the rear, will this appear obvious if not correct?

I did check to make sure the tube was fitted correctly into the back of the filter though.

That explains why the water didn’t alternate between the upper and lower spray arms then!

This still leaves me with a problem, the dishes are not cleaning properly, according to the customer the dishes are left with small particles of food on.

The spray arms are clean, nothing preventing them turning. The machine heats, water level seems OK, no blockages in the float chamber or sump hose. No debris under the lower door seal. Water softener in the house so salt not used. Rinse aid ‘apparently’ topped up weekly. Using a quality detergent and rinse aid.

    Have I missed anything?

Just to update on this one,

Returned and connected an element to test and I got the neutral so the new element is on order.

    Thanks,

    Keith.

Sorry to bump this thread but wondered if anyone has any thoughts on this problem?

    Re: dogs

Went to a customer and a Jack Russell jumped up and bit me at the top of the leg, if it had been two inches higher it would have been really nasty.

The customer wasn’t bothered, just said it’s never bitten anyone before!

I trust the bigger dogs more than the little ones.

Connect supplied the 1702734 on the basis of the information above which is different to the original.

    I will order the C00273150 .

    Thanks.

I have had a look at the part numbers on connect show 49564500 has the reset button so by a process of elimination it looks like the one I need is the 49564400

    Thanks for the help Chris.

Re: DWI612C Wash pump & sump gasket.

Water was pouring through the sump seal, so I tightened the screws which appeared to stop the leak.

I noticed signs of a leak beneath the wash pump but when tested it didn’t appear to be a problem so not sure if this is caused by water left in the tray from the gasket or the pump. I couldn’t get the machine out without a lot of work so decided to see if tightening the sump screws would do the trick.

Having just had another call it looks as if the machine could still be leaking so I will have to go back and investigate further.

Thanks for the part numbers, at least I can go back remove the machine and quote for whatever’s needed.

    Mike.

Would this have prevented the option LED’s from lighting and energise the interlock?

    Thanks Mike,

I disconnected the motor and dryer element but still didn’t get a display. I suspect the earth fault could have damaged the PCB but unable to prove it.

Thanks, As this is an expensive valve and isn’t guaranteed to solve the problem I think I might modify the connectors and switch them to different solenoids for testing purposes first.

Thanks iodom, not thought of going into the drum that way. I always take the element out which allows you check up by the tub support with a dental mirror but taking taking the lifter out makes sense it’s quicker and easier to get back in.

My question is the drum has stopped spinning altogether. It may do half a cycle/turn but then cannot turn anymore. (If turned by hand or on a cycle)

Does anyone have any idea what the problem may be? Can this be repaired and if so is it worth it?

Was the machine getting noisy before the drum stopped turning? When you lift the inner drum inside the door does it feel loose and move independently of the outer drum? If yes to either of these questions it is likely to be bearings and iadom comments apply.

If not then is a possibility something has got stuck between the drums.Try looking through the holes in the drum with a small torch, sometimes it’s possible to see if something got in there.

If you can’t see anything then turn the drum, when it does move does it feel smooth before it stops again or is it rough and noisy?
When you turn the drum to where it stops will it turn back again freely?
