When I ran the machine through on a test before it was run empty so didn’t have any ‘3 in 1 tabs’ and there was no sign of excess foaming. I will get the customer to run the machine through empty a few times to confirm this though.

    Thanks.

The first time I called I checked for continuity and earth leakage, everything checked out OK.

I called BSH Appliance Care again and they are still saying the part is no longer available!

    Any other suggestions?

Now I’m confused (not that it takes a lot to confuse me) I called Appliance care who found it on the system but said it had NLA and no price!

Thanks for the advice, what would be the problem with this?

    Thanks,

I will let the customer know.

Is this the device used for fill level instead of a flow meter?

    Thanks Jim,

Have you got a part number for the modified box?
Is it just the casting or is it complete with fan, element & stats?

Didn’t think it would be the pressure switch jammed on empty as the machine didn’t attempt to fill. If it was jammed on empty I thought it would have overfilled then given the error.

I didn’t check the dryer NTC, would this have given the F04 error and made the dryer motor run as it did? What resistance should I expect across the NTC?

I disagree with this because you’re not getting the money back from the agent but his clients again so you’re still ripping people off.

Keep your integrity, tell him you’re not prepared to do it because ‘as he knows’ you’re honest with your customers!

You could also tell him if you charge double it’s likely the customer would not have the work done and you would both lose.

    Re: parking nightmare

If I get a call to an area that is likely to be a problem I ask the customer first if there’s parking.

If not I say sorry, if I can’t park I can’t do the job! It’s strange but up to ow they’ve managed to sort something out 🙂

Re: Zanussi WJS1265W can’t set program.

    Thanks Mike,

I thought you could still program this even with the door open but not start it?

I did link out the main contacts to see if it made any difference, all that happened was the door lock light came on!

I have ordered an interlock for this as I normally carry one for van stock, when I have received it I will call back and give it a try.

    Thanks again,

    Keith.

I thought that was the most likely cause so have quoted on the basis of replacing the element & PCB.
