DaveLooking at the picture I think the machine had the newer version.
The machine is dated 2019 whereas the tech bulletin is 2017.
Also, according to the notes, it looks like this mod was to prevent the tub from hitting the door glass.
It doesn’t say anything about lubricating the spring either.
Thanks for looking into it Dave.September 15, 2021 at 6:00 pm in reply to: Beko WTB820E1W worn through tub spring support bracket, only 2 years old. #478995Twoten

This only relates to the top spring fixing though.
Could this have caused excessive wear to the drum?Twoten

Participantmikehha wrote:try the overload cut out on the heater duct
Looks like the thermal fuse on the heater duct was to blame.
Does anyone have a part number for this?
I’ve looked on Connect but it doesn’t list the full model number and the part shown for just “3RLEQ8000” is the wrong shape. The one on the machine is rectangular.
Searching for “Whirlpool thermal fuse” brings up the 5031681018133 (among other things) which is rated at 91ºC whereas the above wiring diagram shown with 2 blue wires connected, it’s rated at what appears to be T96ºC.Thanks.

Participant262900092 and 262900098 so does that suggest either can be used?

ParticipantBrilliant. I mentioned the 3 67 displayed when it’s turned on and the owner said “it’s always done it” so didn’t take too much notice of it.
Thanks again Dave, much appreciated.Twoten
ParticipantYears ago, a Servis engineer was stopped by the police and had his van searched.
After the engineer had visited the customer couldn’t find her purse so called the police.
It eventually transpired the purse was on top of her chest freezer, she’d opened the freezer and the purse dropped down the back.July 21, 2021 at 9:37 pm in reply to: John Lewis jlbIIH603 Inductionhob turns of after 1 second. #478064Twoten

have sent you the pdf
DaveI can’t see it listed either. I have searched the part numbers for the different sections of loom under item 4 and can’t find it.
Thanks for checking.Twoten
ParticipantThanks for the suggestions.
Done the repair this morning.
I used an M5 Jack Nut with a screw. Not quite as easy as I had thought it would be but as the Jack Nut rotates in the hole.
As this oven cavity had a 10mm hole with a slot running through it I was able to put a small slotted screwdriver through into the side of the Jack Nut to prevent the rotation. After fitting, I put a small self tapper into the slot next to the Jack Nut to prevent it from rotating in the future should it have to be undone.
The only thing I would do differently in the future is use a longer bolt with a nut to pull the Jack Nut down into the panel then fit the element in place with a shorter bolt.
Otherwise, this makes a very tidy repair.Twoten
Participantelectrofix wrote:yep commercial code is correct so i think you have the wrong motor
DaveThanks Dave, looks like it’s in stock with Hotpoint so will get one on order.
Thanks everyone for the help/advice, much appreciated.

Participantif that number is wrong and really ends 0097 then above motor numbers are correct
if your code is correct then its linked to model WDL520PUKC58 and the motor on that one is C00505422
Dave[/QUOTEThanks Dave,
The image shows full details of the machine. Looking at the image on the Hotpoint website I think this is correct.

Participantmurv wrote:Have had the front edge of original Sole and late Nidec motors scuff against the the drum during installation but so far they have all slid onto the mounts, sometimes with a bit of force.
Motor rating plates vary by manufacturer and rarely specify the maximum speed.
Murv…
This would have needed a lot of force and even then I wasn’t sure it would go.
As it didn’t look or feel right I assumed it was the wrong motor.Twoten
Participantdon wrote:Just checked Hotpoint B2B trade spares for your model version it’s C00141663
DonIf I put that number into https://parts.indesit.co.uk I get the message “This part C00141663 has been superseded by part C00518156” which is the number Connect gave me. Interestingly though, the image on the indesit site matches the original motor
.
The MERC00518156 received from Connect had the correct Hotpoint part number on it so not an error by Connect.
It looks like the type of motor varies depending on where you look. ukwhitegoods shows the round type. -
