Re: Hotpoint Aquarius VTD00 – Stopped working..

maybe the capacitor, although this is usually a fault mainly on the CTD00 condenser dryer, yours is a vented type. With the lid off, start it up and push the drum round by hand, if it starts-its the capacitor

    Re: hotpoint wd420

had one yesterday, it was the module. But check it fills in pre wash tray first, then it should fill in main wash tray, if it is only prewash then maybe solenoid valve for main wash that is the fault. If both ok then module faulty

    Re: electrolux EWX12550W

yes i have had loads of them, it is a known fault on electrolux/zanussi/aeg machines. Replace the interlock-the new ones are slightly different to the original. Apparently its costing electrolux loads by trying to save a few pence using inferior parts and having to replace the interlocks under warranty.

belling are part of glen dimplex, they also have new world and stoves brands, there is not much difference between them all. Belling cookers are quite good quality but it is just a name. they used to be one of the best freestanding makes when they were built in the enfield factory.

    Re: Hotpoint Washer/Dryer WDD960P F13 Fault

i have made 6 holes in each square on the mesh filter with a screwdriver, this increases air flow but for some reason the drier heater can develop earth faults within a few months as excess moisture in heater circuit, there have been numerous design changes on this heater box over the years, some with, some without the mesh filter, all attempts never that good

yes it must be the module, if it was the motor it would give fault lights on the display

easy-screws at back of hob part must be removed and it slides forward and off, i would change the hotplates as the regulators are switches
