    Re: Indesit washing machine explodes

Just seen photo’s of the latest Indesit we have been out too and it’s scary. The appliance bounced up and snapped the worktop in half, pushing the sink out. It then carried on out of it’s space before exploding in the middle of the kitchen after ripping the water pipes out of the wall causing a major flood. The worst of it is, the top counter weight bolt has been fired through the lid when the appliance was out, has gone through the customers plastic cladded ceiling and embedded itself into the floorboards of the room above.
This is the worst one I have seen and if the bolt had hit someone, would have caused serious injury or even death

Confirm Martins diagnosis, Motor triac fault, has poss taken module out, sometimes you fit a new lock and it works for a couple of washes but goes again.
The new ones are even worse, the modules have to be re written due to a faulty eprom file that sends the motor into a full reverse spin a split second after doing a clockwise spin. Can result in a big bang as the motor segments fly off and a costly repair as usually blows the module as well. Customer also complains of seeing sparks coming from underneath the machines. :rolls:

Not been out to one but the other engineers have said they are not nice. They have a technical helpline, just pretend to be an engineer working on behalf of an agent if they ask

if the 12nc number ends in15103 0r 15104 onwards then its a welded tub, 15100 and 15102 are split tubs thats why it’s critical to get the 12nc correct when ordering parts

depends on the product number, some versions are split tub, tend to be earlier versions but most are welded as from a couple of years ago. Need the number starting with 8
