    Re: Are you busy?

You only have to look at the posts on this site. A few years ago there we’re a lot more posts and pages of messages flew by. I suspect that many like me are just holding in until retirement. Would any of you recommend this job to a school leaver as a job with a future a job with prospects or a job that give a good living?

Re: Beko WMB81445lw – No spin

I’ve got one of these doing same sort of thing wont cancel fully goes to end then flips back to 28 quick wash wont set to any other program if you try to run as it is it pulses between fill and empty. I thought board but the money now seem to be on motor which is far too expensive.
Any of you in guarantee chaps can confirm this is likely just for future reference ?

    thanks wilf

look at your local computer repair outfits adverts “no fix no fee” so if this stuff is connected that surely must apply to us…………….. or so the bottom end customers will think. cant see getting paid after telling a customer its exterior to the appliance.

    Re: bosch door handle

just for ref I have now completed this job. door does release without power, locks as normal in use .the knife trick needs to be inserted 3 inches from bottom of handle.
handle is a sod to fit I used pattern from connect ( genuine o/s at bosch) DONT, pins too long plus very poor fit

    thanks again everyone wilf

    Re: bosch door handle

the interlock fitted has the latch covered and the gap between the tub and front is so small that you can only just get your hand in but without any wriggle room.

thanks for all the advice wilf

    Re: bosch door handle

just found a post on youtube Australian bloke had same problem as me and went down the same path, but then found he could work the catch from about two inches up from the bottom of the handle in the gap between the handle and the door frame(on the front) using a butter knife.

    Re: bosch door handle

so you have to have machine powered up to open the door? so how about opening as a result of power failure? or in the showroom? so whats the point of the emergency lever?

    Re: IOT enabled Engineers

Yesterday a man was sent to prison for ten years for “playing” with his techno toy whilst driving and killing four. Is it really necessary to be able to connect to an appliance from a distance?
I would suggest that the vast majority of people would see such fancy gadgets as toys for nurds.
Think how many times have you shorted out an oven clock relay when the customer says “never use that”? A designer once told me think KISS Keep It Simple Stupid

    “There you go all fixed”
“Oh good……. what you want paying? …. what now?”
Cue three months later seven or eight emails phone calls invoice re submissions
you start to ask how desperate you are for work to play such sill games.
