is it a DIY work…Unscrew the panel with * screwdriver.Takeout the swich and fit the new one…
Can it be another problem other than switch…may be i buy a switch and find out later that it was something else.

Re: Cannon Harmony lower oven door glass shattered

Unfortunately, I’m renting (so no buildings insurance).

Some more research has revealed a bit more….

It is Cannon Harmony (dual fuel) in white. I’ve downloaded the corresponding manual from the Hotpoint service website & that says it’s a model number 10215G.

Having a bit more “surf” about, I reckon the white Cannon Cambridge – model 10287G – will have the exact same bit of glass on the front of the lower oven door (it’s the same width & style) .

    Many thanks,
    Rob.

    Re: Hotpoint WMA63 bearing

I have tried giving it a bl@#dy good wallop with a big hammer and large screwdriver but its only budged about a milimeter. There doesn’t seem to be that much of an edge to hit. As the bearing only has the outer case left it is almost flush with the steel insert. (which I guess stays in place?)

Simon didn’t say his hob was three months old. This statement was made by a Guest who hasn’t given a name.

If Simon has a Teba hob that is under guarantee he should contact Independent Service. We will then arrange for an inspection. As the first post was back in March it is possible that everything has already been sorted.

Re: Gas….who should be working on it

An excellent post jp and one that should be talked about here……

BUT what is the correct rate for the job.And should we give a fuck if servast go out of business???

Of course we shouldn’t as they are the ones who should be relaying to the manufacturer that a gas call means an enhanced rate……

I reckon the true gas call rate is in the region of £68.00 per call + vat which whilst it does not pull up trees insures a fair rate for the investement the guys put in….

Stick to your guns and report Servevast to CORGI…PUT THE PRESSURE BACK THE OTHER WAY….we can all survive without their work and if they sink the work will resurface in a different guise..

They have to use us …theres no one else, think about it.

    Hello from the cold zone

You were of course correct. Super ice cold beer has now been restored to our household and the Hotpoint sits gurgling happily away dominating our kitchen. In fact it anything its a bit TOO cold – just knocked it up to 3 degrees.

Many thanks for the great advice – panicked a bit too quick yesterday.
