The flashes and beeps are the fault code. LED will flash code , then pause for about a second then repeat. Count the flashes / beeps and repost the results. 😉
Hope that helps,
Steve.

ParticipantRe: siemens dishwasher
Yes, the dispenser is held in by these metal tabs. Use a small screwdriver and gently prise the tabs up to clear the plastic lug on the dispenser body. There are 3 on top and 3 underneath. Take your time – this job is fiddly and the stainless is akin to a razor. 😉
With the old one removed, clean the aperture in the door and lightly lubricate the new dispenser seal with a drop of washing up liquid. Use just a drop!!
Position the dispenser in the aperture (checking it’s the right way up!) and gently but firmly press in until the tabs click home. Take care not to bend the door!! Check all tabs are in place, replace the wiring and reassemble.Power off, plug out before any work commences. :plug: Safety first!!!
HTH,
Steve.

ParticipantRe: Miele Premier 520: 1200rpm Spins on Woollens; Poor Balan
Check the fluff filter before the engineer calls – that will not be covered by warranty. If it is trying to spin with excess water in the drum and clothes, then it will jump or seem unbalanced. 😉
Woollens can be spun at high speed, but usually the spin cycle is shortened. The machine will override the manual controls on the fascia if they are incorrect for the programme set.HTH,
Steve.

ParticipantRe: Ariston margherita A1324 HELP Please
F8 is usually a heater related fault – remove the back panel and check the wires to the heater. The PCB should be to the left of the machine (looking in from the back). Check all the connector blocks are pushed fully home.
Did any water from the pump splash on the PCB? If it did get wet it could mean trouble. 🙁
If it still doesn’t work, click the Repairs @ banner for an approved engineer in your area.
Power off, plug out before any inspection. :plug: Stay alive!!!HTH,
Steve.

ParticipantRe: Candy CDC266 water collection
Firstly, the aluminium box thingy is the condenser unit. This condenses the steam from the drum and only allows the hot air to recirculate back round through the heater and into the drum again. The condensed water then runs into the reservoir.
The ‘sauna’ problem is a blockage / condenser fan – related fault. Check door filter; the passage from this to the front of the condenser; (ie: blocked with a hanky or a ‘Bounce’ sheet). To check the condenser is clear, remove it and hold it up to the light. You should be able to see clearly through every channel: if not, clean it again. The steam passes front to back and cold air is fanned from the side. Both directions have to be clear. Also check the air intake to this fan is not restricted.
If all is found to be OK, then the fault will lie with the condenser cold air fan. (blocked or broken – although a broken fan is usually very noisy!) These are a nightmare to get to – even for engineers! Complete strip down, drum out job. 🙁Power off, plug out before any investigation. :plug: Stay alive!!
Hope that helps,
Steve.

ParticipantRe: hotpoint DD77 double oven
Have you tried the door microswitch? These ovens are often fitted with a double microswitch (2 sandwiched together). It may just be one of the switches has blown. 😉
Hope that helps,
Steve.

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint DC26
Get the Bosch model number off the door of the machine (it is etched in small letters at the bottom of the model number box). It will closely resemble a Bosch d/w model number.
Put that into the Bosch ‘E’nr box on Quickfinder, and it should come up! 😉HTH,
Steve.

I searched the PCB all over for dry joints – couldn’t find any suspects. 😕 I’m back to see it again on Tuesday so I’ll look again. She is already talking about scrapping it!! Hope I get there in time!!!
Thanks, Greg!!
