    Re: Whitegoods Business Pack

    Once I’ve got my new van (being delivered next Tuesday) I will get that done ASAP. My Citroen Dispatch gets collected on Tuesday as well……and I’m not fond of Citroen’s contract department.
    So if you see a mushroom cloud rising in the direction of Dorset, you’ll know I’ve lost my rag with the inspector. 😈

    I could do the vehicle topic if required – lived and breathed it for the last 3 months. Also have been shafted by my previous contract; so I have seen the pitfalls first hand. 😯
    It could also include the Vauxhall van deal set up by Brian (R600A).

    Had this problem about a month ago. Thanks to P45 I fixed it!!

    There is a stat behind the front right cover and this goes open – circuit. The stat is Connect number 5031689352420 and is a whopping £20 + VAT. 😯

    But it sorts it…….. 😉

    Inlet valve O/C ? Or no power to the valve?
    Does the “End” lamp flash as well? If so, suspect PCB.

    Re: What have you got?

    I think the Steve is the one that says, “My back is killin’ me today, love,” with the Mrs that says “Oh dear, well it’s fortunate that you only have 12 calls today, then you can come home early and put ya feet up…..” 😉

    We’ve got – (laundry room):

    LG WM1485FHD direct drive 7kg washer;
    Hotpoint WMA62 / WMA 10 6kg hybrid washer – all new bits;
    Hotpoint TL31 drier.
    Hotpoint TL21 drier.
    Servis 9cuft upright freezers x2 side by side;
    Zanussi 8cuft larder fridge.

    And the kitchen –

    Whirlpool undercounter integrated fridge;
    Elba stainless PX906 range cooker;
    CDA (think it is?) 900 stainless hood;
    Prima (Whirlpool) LPR600 integrated dishwasher.

    And the workshop –

    Zanussi FL1016 washer.
    Zanussi TC470 condenser drier.
    Hotpoint 4cuft larder (:beer:) fridge.

    Yeah, I know what you’re thinking…….:rolls:…..how the hell does he manage with a 4cuft beer fridge?? :rotl:

    Does anyone have to remove the GEC motor from a Hotpoint to change the brushes? 3 minute job – motor in situ. If someone gets hurt doing this, he could be in serious trouble, especially if the armature is earthing like they often do. :zap:

    Re: credaplan continental part no

    It’ll probably be a Sunvic TA500. That’s obsolete but was replaced by the Diamond H 42TH9/J5 oven stat. Readily available anywhere. 5031680284256 is the Connect part number: in stock.

    N.B. If fitted to a topline style cooker, some serious tag – bending surgery is required as it does not fit between the adjacent stats easily. Also some tags will have to be replaced with side tags – like the ones often used on spiral hotplates. 😉

    Re: New ISE 5 questions.

    I tried it empty – so I wouldn’t have to unstrap it. 😉
    The time display must work the same as the Zanussi – starts a cycle, then suddenly knocks off 20 mins in one go. Gotcha!! This lady has been waiting for this machine while her Hoover logic is (literally) falling apart, so I ran the ISE to familiarize myself with it.
    Forewarned is forearmed – gotta look like you know what you’re talking about, even if it’s educated guesswork!! 😉
    Thanks for that, guys!

    Steve.

    P.S. The timings work out when converted to minutes; display in hours and minutes…….Must lay off the stupid pills…… :rolls:

    Re: AEG D/W F50750 Won’t Heat

    Zanussi dishwashers will happily go through a cycle with no heat and not flag up a fault code. Probable cause, as Jim says, PCB – or more likely, a blown solder joint on the heater relay contact. Solder it up and most will work fine. Once the board is out of the plastic box the blown joint will be plain to see. Definitely worth a try. 😉
    Assuming you would check the heater first, then replacement PCB.

    Re: Hotpoint Aquarius no heat

    The ‘no heat’ problem is probably the 2 ‘stats fitted above the heater. This is behind the small back panel. The safety stat can fail through blockages, overloading or just being plain worn out. A quick continuity test with a multimeter will prove this. If one or other have failed or burnt, they must be changed as a pair and are supplied as such. Simple to fit, but ensure they are fitted separately to avoid them getting mixed up.

    Power off before any investigation. Under no circumstances run the machine with the covers off or live test. :zap:
    Always unplug!! :plug:

    Re: Cooker problem

    If you have turned the screws inside the oven, you will have loosened the studs in the mounting bracket. This element is designed to be removed from the back of the oven. You may not have any alternative now but to drill off the heads of the screws from inside the oven. No problems will be caused by doing this, but take care.
    Then take the nuts off the studs as you will need them to fit the new element. All in all, an easy job. 😉

    Power off before any work starts!! :plug:

    Hi Chris!!

    IIRC, this switch is a green 2 pole on / off type with a plastic cover. The on / off switch from a Bissell 1698 deep cleaner is 16A and looks very similar….. 😉
    And only £5 + VAT!!

    Re: CDA CW494 dishwasher motor?

    This machine runs a motor similar to the replacement motor that W’pool supply to replace the Askoll one. Although it is not the same.
    What I need to know is whether the motor pulses on the wash or is it failing? The wash is poor and the pressure from the wash rotors sounds low. If it was the Askoll it would be u/s.

    Help please!!!

    Re: Zanussi ZBQ965X … Clicking noise?

    The clicking is the relay making a circuit (fan starts) then immediately breaking it. (fan stops).
    The ‘time of day’ display is not connected with the operation of the relay. The ‘manual’ or ‘auto’ part of the clock is responsible for switching the oven on or off using the relay. If the relay is damaged, which seems very likely, then the whole clock unit will require replacement. It is like having an alarm clock with a faulty buzzer. The clock still tells the time but the buzzer that generates the alarm sounds is inoperative. The “buzzer” is, in essence, the same as the relay. It doesn’t ‘generate’ a connection.
    Power off before investigating. :plug:

    Hope that helps,

    Steve.
