    Re: MW058 error 134?

Ok when you say pump wont turn off are you referring to water supply into machine (Inlet Valves) ?
Turn Water supply off to cold Then hot Tap To see if both or one valve is the problem here
If the power is off the Pump (Drain Pump) cannot Work

Fault Code 48 is a Water valve Fault
Could be Faulty Water inlet valve or Motor Controller (Main PCB)

There is indeed Rebates on offer in Certain parts Of Australia for Washers which have the required WELS WATER Rating
Rebate amounts vary across the Country & can be Cash Back by redemption
or by Credit on Water Bill
Your in NZ Youve got Heaps H2O
I dont think the Government will be handing Rebates .

The question you have to ask is What do the Synthetic cycles do on each Washer Model & Brand
Cycle for synthetics are generally not that specific or standard
Miele washers for Eg have 2 Recommended cycles for Synthetics
IE Min Iron & or Delicates
LG Have a Cycle That says Synthetics the only difference between that and the Delicate cycle is the number of rinses & wash time
Being the case on most machines there “Synthetic Cycles are Going to Vary.

Dont discount a washer For The Sake it does not Have A Synthetic Programme engraved in the Front of It

If i was asked to recommend a washer ( And i Do countless times a day) Miele (From $1500.00) or AEG (From $1300.00)if the Budget Allows

If you want something under $1000.00
    go For LG Washer Only
I say LG because you can Group Whirlpool /Samsung /Etc Together
LG have great service back up There easy To Fix And There Parts Are Dirt Cheap

Re: Time to replace the Bosch dishwasher

Miele by A mile Much Better finished off
Technical Support In Aust is First Class
Miele are The Most Reliable & they Are Easiest to Service
Ok Miele parts Are Expensive but they are no dearer than Bosch & Asko Parts in this part of the world .Dont forget parts may be dearer but They are Of A much better quality and generally have A longer lifespan .
Bosch are not technician friendly as far as Im Concerned.

From a user point of view Miele have a much better Basket/Rack lay out
making it easier to load dishes Etc .

If You look under washer youll see a white Nut (Dead Centre)

Remove Rotor With 16mm Socket (Nut comes away with rotor)
Unscrew 4 Bolts That holds in Stator (Motor Windings)
Remove Stator away from shaft turn over & Youll see RPS
    (Rotor postion sensor Little PCB)

You can only Test RPS With Special Device
Close visual check can be suffice
    Check tracks for Corrosion ETC
While your There check Shaft Area for Signs of leaks
    RPS Part # 420296P ($55.00aud)

501 Lid Switch Differs from Later Models
The Lid Switch is integrated into the display model
If You remove Lid you will see the a Little red Striker That Activates Lid Switch,Check to see if this little striker has not come out or is worn

Part # 426457 will not fit this Washer

Re: Fisher & Paykel GW708U – Diagnostic Dilemma

Can you run diagnostics as Per Sticky again
Code 131 Is rotor position Sensor (RPS)error
Check for corroded terminals at RPS sensor (Located Under Main outer Bowl with motor)
Check for leaks coming from Shaft Under Bowl
Water can leak from main Shaft onto RPS sensor
Rest of the Codes Mean nothing to me

    Re: GW709 won’t spin correctly

Have come Across this problem A Few times
Does the washer rumble to a stop ?
if So i would Say it Is a Problem with the Suspension
Suspension Gets very Tight not allowing washer to get up to full Speed
You can try Greasing but in the end the only resolution maybe to Replace supension

Auto reset Thermostat (Is Overheat) Located From LHS Of The Tub Base
behind Kick panel Open 85C reset 50C
The Temp Sensor itself is Part of The MAIN PCB(Board)and Not Available as Spare Part
    IE New PCB
IF Element Ok (Read 35 Ohm) & wiring checks Ok
more than Likely You Will Need PCB
    Part # 521793P about $150 AUD
