Did you correctly code the module?

    Yep! ๐Ÿ˜€

    Appliance must be switched off.
Press and hold memory(M) and FREEZER colder(down arrow) buttons down, switch on appliance.

โ€œP 00โ€ will appear in the display.

Use the FRIDGE warmer (up) to change to โ€œP 01โ€ (diverter valve)

Pressing the FRIDGE ON/OFF button operates the valve. Repeatedly press this button about 20 times. You should hear the valve clicking.

Switch appliance off and then back on.

The temp will (hopefully) return to that which is set, within about an hour.

Almost certainly a sticking diverter valve.
An expensive repair Iโ€™m afraid. ๐Ÿ™
You my be able to free the valve by activating it via the service program.

“The United Kingdom has a good record for road safety compared with most other EU countries. In 2001 it had the lowest road death rate in the EU, at 6.1 per 100,000 population. The highest road death rate in the EU was in Portugal, at 21.0 per 100,000 population (in 2000). The UK rate was also substantially lower than those for other industrialised nations such as Japan (7.9 per 100,000 population), Australia (9.0) and the United States (14.8). The United Kingdom also has a relatively good record in terms of overall road accidents involving children. In 2001 the UK death rate for children aged 0 to 14, at 1.7 per 100,000 of population, was the fourth lowest in the EU. Sweden had the lowest rate, at 1.1 per 100,000 population, while in France the rate was 2.7 and in Ireland it was 3.2. Ho…”

I had 27 years driving HGVs at home and abroad . For the last 8 years the vehicles had speed governors , which limited the speed to 56 mph . I could never understand why vehicles driven by professionals holding a special license were governed , and those driven by amateurs were not . I welcomed governors , why speed , risking life and limb , just to finish earlier , and get less pay ? Now imagine if all vehicles were fitted with interactive goverors , which automatically adjusted ones speed to the speed limit . The benefits would be as follows . Instead of the 20 percent of the time we spend watching the speedo , we could watch the road . Accident would be cut by about half . Road deaths like wise . Vehicle life , and tyre life would increase . At least 10,000 extra cops to tackle real crime ., at no extra cost . The nations fuel bill slashed by ยฃ1,000,000 . Can anyone suggest a single disadvantage ? In theory , insurance bills could be reduced [ I did say in theory ! ] If the equipment were available , I would buy it today . Some kind soul please tell me why I am wrong .

I cannot think of a more effective way of crippling our roads system and fitting every car with a limiter.

All the trucks fitted with these dumbing down devices take four miles to overtake one another and drive two yards apart.

    Re: R600a

    Hhhmmmmm!
If I find a R600A (or any) system low then the first job is to find the leak.
If the leak is found on the high side then I repair the leak, flush and pressure test with N2, vac both high and low sides then regas according to label.
If itโ€™s leaking on the low side I usually change the compressor.

If I cannot find the leak (the gas must of gone somewhere, right?) I deem the appliance to be beyond repair.

So, where are the guide lines as to re gassing an R600a appliance?

Whilst I appreciate that a small fridge might have 18 grams and a fridge freezer as little as 55 grams, its the 9{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} mix that is important and not the quantity.

So, what do you guys do? Personnally I won’t regas an R600a at all with a full charge, although an exception is a brand new appliance suffering from oil absorbtion. That though, is my call and down to my experience with R600a over the last 5 years plus.

Today, I went to an Electrolux F/F, practically no gas, 20 months old and decided to not regas it, as I could not determine where the leak was (the leak was undetectable on torr gauge), also not being prepared to allow it to be in the insulation. I wrote the appliance off.

Interested to know what others do and your thoughts.

Are you referring to topping up a system thatโ€™s low on gas?

    Bob

Sorry if I caused any confusion. The dishwasher that started this thread does not have a flow sensor.
But the model now supersedes to one that does. 8)

My post was intended to be a โ€œheads upโ€ about the fill system you independent guys who will be seeing these types soon, as they come out of warranty. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I used the washing machine (that still uses a pressure switch for level) flow sensor as a term of reference.
This flow sensor was only fitted to top end washing machines, so not seen in big numbers.

Why can’t Bosch publish an error code list on their web site!

Because some people will take them as Gospel and order parts on this basis alone.
I went to a washing machine this week that had a โ€œmotor faultโ€ fault code.
I dug a little deeper and found it was the part of the module that controls the motor and not the motor.

I could imagine some people demanding a refund of parts โ€œbought in errorโ€. ๐Ÿ™„

Some of the fault codes ARE in the instruction books. These are usually faults that the customer can check themselves e.g. blocked pump, tap turned off ect.

    Re: Bosch SGS43A42GB/01

Some of the very latest types use a flow sensor, much like ones fitted to the washers.
Oh, and they do sometimes fail.
