Re: removing the balance weights of a washing machine

You might as a well leave it at your old apartment because if you do attempt it you’ll end up having to buy a new machine anyway.

That board is for the motor had one yesterday where the main pcb was ramping the motor straight to spin which made this dc board blow but it could just as easily be the motor at fault.

Yes you wont hear a click as it has no thermostat as it’s electronic and being frost free they tend to run a lot more often then a traditional freezer would so you need not worry.

The valve has sprung apart as the small “o” seal has worn off the back of it causing the rest of it to spring out when you last removed the tank.

Your right Seamy not on the kickplate the proper Zanussi has no kickplate just the filter aperture.

These machine’s have never seen a Zanussi factory. Mainly were sold through Comet as “The manager’s special” and as the creator of this thread said it is shameful that this deception is allowed as he bought the machine for his daughter on the basis of the good service of his proper Zanussi machine. I know Electrolux need to try and compete with the like’s of Beko but ruining the Zanussi reputation isn’t the way forward. If you want a proper Zanussi make sure it has the rectangular filter cover on the bottom front right corner.

Have you tried a different socket firstly??? If so then if you tilted it over to the right when transporting it then any residue water that was in the soap drawer may now of got into the circuit board.

Could be the motor capacitor fault as this “kick start’s” the motor into action.

Look for one that has an inverter motor as these are the quietest. It will be listed at the point of sale for it is seen as a sale’s feature.

If there was a problem wit the draining which now you have now sorted then as seamy suggested it will of spilt water into the base and activated the anti flood device. Switch off appliance place a towel to one side and tip the appliance slightly toward the towel and water will spill out this should reset it.

There’s a store near me similer to Home and bargains “BUT ITS NOT THEM !!” selling an “Electra” (Now there’s a name thought had disappeared ) washer for £129 I’m not sure who make’s it but ive also seen it at a customer’s badged as a Zanussi sold through John lewis Proberly for a far larger mark up it has no access panel at the back and looks like it wouldn’t last a week in a sheltered accommodation laundry room anyone know who may make it . Vestel perhaps???
